Sorry I didn't get back to you but I see you are selling this bass now.  I have recently sorted out the next step to change my bass from signature to Anniversary electronics which will give me the same layout as a series I bass with two volume controls, pickup selector switch and mono stereo switch too.  That will get me to the same flexibility of a series bass but not the same sound because the series has true single coil pickups instead of hum cancelling pickups that the signature basses have. All the best with the sale.

Maybe you could try doing that with your bass, it may make it a better fit for you and worth keeping?

oh man, that would be great, how are you going to do that?

I don't think it makes any difference, front or rear port.  Unless I'm missing something with these particular cabs?

    Frank.

Well I think it does, Had Markbass 4x10 with rear and front, the rear port was giving me kind of hard time, specially if you are in a small stage club. Always when I use rear port and I'm in the club, have to lower the lows on my amp, the boom starts to circle the stage, specially if it's hollow floor. But I feel that guys in GR know what they are doing, so would like to try one.

  3. it is 60s, but you also have to know that back then Fender quality control, wood, how were they build was actually stinky poo and by that every JB that I've tried throughout  my years of playing were not that great instruments.

I found my '66 that I really like (personal taste), so I also have Moollon B524, and it's great same vintage vibe 5 string, but comparing bass next to one and another is whole different approach. You can have two jazz basses from same era, and they would feel different and sound different. My choice was mine '66, I had option of getting for almost the same money the '65 JB, but this one was just better. So preCBS, CBS, Japan, there are good and bad instruments, but for Moollon I know for fact they build them so every bass is great. That's why I would like to compare it with my JB

But, thank you for your experience and post! :)
