I Have the Rumble stage 800 combo and the 2 x 10 ext cab
The combo on its own is fine but obviously you get more power with the ext cab if you need it
it has all the amp and speaker modeling youl ever need
it also has just about every effect pedal you can think of and all these can be edited to your own tastes
you can edit and store all the presets you want into different set lists either manualy or via the fender tone app on your mobile/ pc / tab etc
so you could realisticly have a different sound for every song saved into a set list.
also comes with a nice footswitch , built in tuner etc.
every thing you need all in one combo (and its light and portable)

Experienced bass player available
I have played in many bands and depped with bands playing
A varied genre of music of the years.
I am looking for a semi pro band either established or a new start up.
I have a varied taste in music so open to most genres.
50’s 60’s , soul, motown, disco, 70’s , glam ,80's, tributes etc
Not into heavy metal , heavy rock or indie music.
I can do some lead and backing vocals
I have top quality pro equipment and transport.
Very committed and reliable.
I can read standard notation music , chord charts , or jam when needed
But I prefer to learn the correct parts at home prior to rehearsals.
I have some youtube videos of my playing both live and personal learning
Bass lines etc.
Iam located in the cambs area close to the northants and beds borders
Travelling to rehearsals and gigs is not a problem
If you need anymore info send me a message and il get back to you.

The metal clip on my line 6 G30 transmitter broke off years ago
i use a square of smooth velcro (the same as used on footpedals) on the transmitter and the opposite rough velcro permanantly attached to my strap.
never had a problem and no awkward pouch to worry about.

That’s pretty much my understanding of the matter. Not sure why anyone would want to leave it plugged in tbh.
Usualy just leave a Bass on my studio wall plugged in ready to pick up and play .
but its usualy a passive bass this Elite is a New one for me. just wanted to check if the power turns off with the switch
il unplug it from now on and stop the battery draining

Hi
Can i leave a Fender active Jazz Bass Plugged in
it has a active / Passive switch
is it ok to leave the jack lead in if its switched to passive
or does it still drain the battery if left plugged in the jack socket?
PS Its The American Fender elite jazz model
Thanks

The Body looks to be contoured so its not a fender MIJ 51 as they are a slab body.

I have been using a Line 6 relay G30 for years without any problems, done theaters, indoor and large outdoor gigs , clubs, pubs etc
takes 2 rechargable AA batteries . built to last and a fair price . easy to set up and use.
the shure system is also great and has more features but more expensive to do basicaly the same thing , all down to budgets and personal preference i guess
but either of these units will do the job for years without any problems

Maruszczyk flats are higher Tension than Thomastiks but lower tension than La Bellas
a good reasonable priced option for Flatwound around £26 from bass direct.

Dont forget to check your truss rod adjustment if changing the tension of your strings as this will change the action on your bass.

The La Bella Flats originals Original 52-73-95-110 are very high tension as mentioned by Ricky above
i have used these on p basses for 50's 60's genre music and they sound great .
but they are very stiff if your not used to high tension flats.

what gauge are the La bella strings? la bella deep flats are usualy very high tension.
Steve Harris rotosound 50 / 110 are a heavy guage flatwound if you prefer a higher tension.

I have owned a Hagstrom Viking and 2 warwick star basses in the past
both are excellent instruments, and i would recomend either if you are looking for a semi
im currently using a Chowny 30" short scale semi which is great and these basses are good value for money
and worth considering along with the Hagstrom and warwick basses
i would be dubious about buying the Hagstrom with a damaged neck.
it may turn out out to be ok ,but its a big gamble.
