  1. Hi,

I saw that you managed a few years ago, to obtain a wiring diagram for a Godin Acousticaster. I have one that I'm repairing for a customer. A previous owner has been tempering with the PCB and his soldering skills were very poor. Anyway, I'm trying to find what is not at its place and I would really appreciate if you could send me that diagram.

    Cheers.

Yep no problem. There are 2 different versions. One for 9V and one for 18V.

I have 3 files here and cant remember what the 3rd was for so i've attached them all.

Hope these help and let me know how you get on with it. That was the issue i had with the Godin. Owner had attempted a repair on his own. I removed the pre-amp and had my tech guy sort it as he is a better solderer than myself. He did a great job and even extended the cable lengths for me otherwise they would have been a tight fit in the guitar. I refitted the pre-amp and all was good.

      All the best with it.

This is mine but my Sandberg basses have definitely taken over the workload especially the MarloweDK which is just so nice. Every sound guy i've dealt with since getting it has commented on how defined it is. Maybe its not all the bass but and something to do with the Mesa rig but i've used other basses thru same rig and not had that kind of feedback from SE's and audiences have even commented.

      Anyway here's my P bass

  3. That's really it then, no more music or bands for me. The vast majority of my gear is sold. I'm left with a bag of cables and one keeper bass (still have another for sale, possibly sold...). 10 years of effort trying to find a 'functioning' band and nothing to show for it. Very much feels I've wasted a lot of time.

There are a lot of time wasters and numpties but you need to keep trying as long as you have that hunger to play. Once that goes then maybe its time for a break i guess.

Just a shame its that way.

To be honest if this band ever falls away it will be the end for me i think and time to move on to other hobbies again.

It was same for me in most cases excepting one band where it was just too demanding for me. I learned the set of 34 songs in 3 weeks and half way thru they told me majority in different keys. To be fair to the BL his dad had just passed away and we weren't able to rehearse at all before the gigs but the guys were all brilliant. The week after he told me it was a different set for the next gig in 10 days. I had to pull out as it was just too much for me but we still keep in touch and he has asked me to dep when his bass player can't make a gig altho its usually the day before the gig LOL. People are def one of the most important factors in a band. Hope it all comes together for you mate. Everyone deserves to be in that "perfect band" for them.

Sorry to hear that mate. I went about 8 yrs thru several band changes for various reasons from idiots to couldn't care less attitudes to not putting the effort in for rehearsals let alone gigs to excessive demand on me but now with my dream band as Glam Rock covers so i guess in that respect i'm lucky but i just kept going until the right band came along. I started looking at age 51yrs after a long 15yr break and now 59 and having a great time with this band so its never too late.

Hope you keep at it even if its just a wee local pub band its still good fun with the right people.

      All the best

You'd be  a wee bit weird too after that. Quite a big op for a female pup. She'll be fine tomorrow after the drugs wear off. Keep us posted and maybe post a wee pic.
