  1. I acquired this off a Basschatter in a trade a few months ago but find i cannot get along with the slimmer neck (I'm a P Bass man at Heart). Hope Pat doesn't mind me using his photos? 🙂 The last photo was taken when i gigged the bass. It sounded awesome!!

This is a 1984 Tokai Jazz Sound in a P-J configuration. Full Candy Apple Red including whole neck. Gold hardware that has tarnished over the years.

The bass itself is in a really good condition, plenty of small dings and scratches, but nothing major (I find it very tasty looking).

Serviced by Mark Pressling who did an amazing job with the neck as it needed some fret dressing. Now it is set nice and low and is a dream to play.

Not really sure what else to say, you just need to try it for yourself, these early Tokai basses were called Fender killers for a reason.

Can post in hard case at buyers cost (£30.00 approx) or collection from Walsall West Midlands.

Any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.

The drive control, as always delivers a delectable valve emulated over-drive, whilst the sub harmonic controls add further fatness to your tone - both can be foot-switched via an FS 2 foot-switch (sold separately).

  4. Very reluctant sale, but it’s time to thin out the herd. This Olympic White model is only available to the Japanese home market so is extremely rare in the UK.

This bass is in awesome condition.

The ‘75 reissues IMHO are the best ‘vintage’ Jazz’s you can get. It’s got all the period correct detailing (3 point neck plate, bridge pickup positioning, monoblock fret markings, tiger stripe on the neck, open vintage style tuners, fast c shape neck).

This is not to be confused with a Mexican Fender, made from inferior wood, cheaper parts, with less attention to detail and construction. To be honest I’d put the Japanese build Fenders up against the American builds any day. The quality of the craftsmanship is exemplary.

If you don’t want to pay stupid money for an original vintage, and think the modern USA Fenders lack ‘Mojo’ then get a vintage spec Jazz for reasonable money. The American reissues are overpriced, so the equally great Japanese builds make for better value.

Comes with a Gig bag This is in pretty good condition, and does the trick.

Boxed up and ready to go.

I’ll be sad to see this baby go, as it’s a great Bass, but it’s just not being used enough to justify keeping. It’s a real gem and worth every penny. Serial number dates this beauty at 1999-2002.

price includes shipping in UK. NO TRADES SORRY.
