3.
Your right there mate. I played on this a couple of weeks ago and the neck is fantastic. If I was a bit more flush I would snap this up now.

I would recommend this to anyone its light, plays fantastic and sounds like thunder, you must be mad parting with that one Dave
Ian, I had 11 basses at the start of the week with two more ACGs on the way.

As I said earlier, I would FAR rather sell my Lakland Bob Glaub than this one. But the Lakland doesn't feedback on church gigs, so this has gotta go.

  4.
Hummn if I hadnt just bought a Shuker I would snap your hands off.... what is the string spacing at the nut and the total nut width please....

I'm gonna regret asking this..... :)
Hi Burpster,

The string spacing (center of string to center of string) is 9.5mm
Overall width of nut, edge to edge is 37/38mm (jazz width, I guess). It was difficult to be entirely accurate in measuring the nut with the strings on but this is very close ballpark.

    Hope this helps.

I haven't so far mentioned that this has 18v electrics, so plenty of headroom; and I have found a ratty old case for it which at least means it can be couriered now.

I haven't had a chance to gig with my ACG yet but rehearsed with it last night. Sounded as you'd expect, bloody great.

Thanks for the kind words on the KSD it's a great bass but I owned 11 basses at the start of the week (sold a couple already) and I have another two ACGs on the way, one in a couple of weeks, and another in prep stage; so I just need to make room more than anything. I'm really sad to see these go but I just don't need this many basses and head is ruling heart for once.

The reason why this bass is on my sale list is sheer practicality: One of my regular gigs these days is in a gospel band and we play in churches, as you might expect with a gospel outfit. Single coils pups are useless in church gigs because the churches always have the hearing aid induction loop switched on for the old dears with their hearing aids. Single coils and induction loops create instant uncontrolable feedback and there's bugger all you can do about it. I'd rather keep this and sell my Lakland Bob Glaub Precision, if I'm honest. This is the nicer bass to play but the Lakland has a split P pickup which is hum cancelling and the induction loop gets along with it nicely. So this feller got to go...

  6. Bought directly from Bernie Goodfellow (KSD's UK importer), who recommended that he fitted an EBS pre-amp to it before he sent in on to me. Bernie also imports EBS. Good move tonally as the EBS pre is a very tasty bit of kit although it bumped the price up quite a bit.

This bass comes with a long gig bag - the lengthy headstocks on these mean that they often won't fit Hiscox style hardcases comfortably - and it's fitted with *fairly* new DR Black Beauty strings, not shown in this pic.

Really nice bass in very good condition with few marks and nothing significant to write home about. (or complain about, really) :)

    Bargain at £485.
    REDUCED TO £459

Collection preferred but not essential. Reluctant to accept Paypal, but can be arranged.
