  1. Absolutely stunning

2010 Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray Classic Bass.

A very high quality reissue of the first Stingrays issued in 1976 by Musicman when Leo Fender opened the company.

This bass has superb low end punch with excellent control of the mids and highs with its 2 band active eq, through body stringing and 6 bolt neck join. This powerful bass can be tamed with its built in string dampers making it a superb all round instrument.

Built with an Ash body with beautifully darkened birdseye Maple neck and fingerboard. Painted in a striking Coral Red ( which changes in different light settings ) and furnished with an off white central pickguard and Humbucker cover. All in perfect condition with original branded hard case with un opened tool kit and case candy.

This bass could easily be sold as brand new as it is unmarked and truly beautiful. Thes are highly sought after and rightly so. Not looking for trades.

Willing to prepare bass in it hard case and  stuffed box for buyers courier to collect or make available for collection within Covid-19 rules.

@CPBass I made up my mind for sure. Sorry no trade. Good luck selling that unique instrument though.

  5. Pics of rear added on request. Its hard to photograph in artificial light as its black & shiny. Veryclean indeed, no marking and the beautiful carbon weave on the neck/headstock is breathtaking.
Three 9v batteries in total. Two required to feed the 18v Preamp and one for the switchable LEDs.

I won't be parting with my Z3 any time soon.....sorry.
    They are so good!

Any chance of a pic of the Z3?
    Just out of sheer noseyness

Here's the one I let go purely on aesthetics, it played and sounded incredible. It came via a trade deal and I then just figured that if I'm spending as much as I did it should at least be in my choice of colour. See the right hand pic...WOW.....I think Sheldon called it 'Bloodmoon'...absolutely stunning.

It simply looks like demand outnumbering supply. Keeps the prices up too. I'm simply going to have to order from scratch if I'm to get the one I really want...£££££££££££££££££££

  7. I should have fitted a darkglass to mine instead of looking at the Z series. I wanted an active circuit, it even had a wenge neck with oversprayed bubinga top. The Z3 replacement was magnificent but had a coffee table wood top and cost a fortune, Still a magnificent bass. Are you still using the purple one Kev?
I'm just going to have to save a bit more and do the dream order from Sheldon.

  8. Have they all been hidden away for a more valuable time or are they just so good that nobody is parting with theirs. I am talking ABII upwards and Z series, I've been keeping an eye everywhere and they just don't enter the used bass market. There was a time you couldn't move for stunning Warwicks, Dingwalls Roscoes and Mike Lulls.
It's all changed. Anyone else noticed?

  9. I totally back Jon's warning up. I've listed a lot of items of late which I've previously not had success with. Usually, once discussions started they moved to outside the system and deals were done that way. I sold one item lately through their Buy it Now system. The guy had bought and paid for it via PayPal with no contact prior.
When the figures came through I felt nauseous at its rate, I'd have preferred to give that cash to the needy than feed such a greedy system.
I will never sell anything on there again as only eBay wins!! Way too much costs for the service offered.
Just thought I'd add my recent experience.
Beautiful bass by the way, good luck with the sale.
