  1. I bought this at the beginning of July to compare with my Moog synth. I have previously owned Moog Taurus pedals and a Minitaur and believe me this does a fantastic job and nails the power and tone of the original. This one has been plugged in for a couple of sessions and is now sitting idle in my gear cupboard because I prefer the flexibility of my much more expensive Mother 32.
It can do the traditional bass pedal sounds as well as prog and big synth filter sweeps, etc. It also has a bigger range to the Minitaur so you can just about get away with lead synth sounds on it. It is like new and comes with all packaging.

Post in the UK included too.

This bass is nothing to do with me however I have one in the same finish and it’s a fantastic little bass. Unfortunately it looks to have a home made scratchplate. It is a very rare Ric model, I wouldn’t sell mine. Price is rather high but if you want one desperately you could always make an offer. 3000 short scales have become quite collectible thanks to the Mani connection. I know a couple of people on the forum who have asked me about mine. Now is your opportunity to buy one (if you have deep pockets).

  3. Korg microKorg  Synth/Vocoder

Another of my mini keys synths used whilst recovering from hand surgery. Apparently this model has been manufactured by Korg for over 20 years and as such is the longest running synth continuously produced by a single company!

The synth is not a toy and has some great features - it can emulate classic synth sounds and music genres and is fully programmable with a full effects section. The vocoder is excellent and easy to set up - the original mic is included and works fine. The unit can be used with batteries or the included PSU. It’s light and portable and is great for using as a midi module for bass pedal triggers, etc.

Cosmetically it is faded in parts and there are dark patches where stickers were attached by the original owner - the wooden end cheeks have some bumps and scuffs to the varnish. The keyboard, fascia and controls work perfectly and it sounds as it ought to.

It’s a great little synth for a pro looking to expand their sound arsenal but also for a beginner as there are lots of online tutorials as it’s been around for such a long time.

No trades price includes UK delivery.

  4. A reluctant sale but needs must - selling my late 70’s Fender Precision ‘bitsa’ bass. Put together by myself using all Fender parts sourced online and from this forum.
Sadly the P bass neck profile no longer suits me following the recent op on my fretting hand so I’m playing slimmer necked Musicman US Sterlings these days. Hopefully continued physio will enable me to play wider necked basses again and I still have my faithful JV Precision and my old Tele Bass to keep me company when that time comes. About the bass - neck is from a 1979 US Precision and has a lovely maple board. The person I bought it from also sold me the neck plate and black neck cushion, all from the same bass. The tuners and string retainer are original to the bass. The nut has been replaced with a brass one.

The body I bought from here and it’s an early noughties late 90’s MIJ Fender body. Nice and light and probably made of alder the Fender Japan pickup and electrics are original to that body too. The bridge is also from a Japanese Fender, the scratchplate is aftermarket but I also have the white original MIJ one which I can include.

The bass has no case but I should have a gig bag knocking around for it.

The body and neck match up better than many late 70’s Fender I’ve owned and at 4.2kgs it’s much lighter than the basses from that era too.

Trussrod works as it ought to, frets are in great shape, neck nice and straight with very few dings (see pics).

Currently strung with  D’Addario round wounds.

It sounds like any great Precision bass ought to, played with a pick you can get those classic aggressive rock and punk sounds and finger style from funk to jazz and anywhere between. It slaps well too.

I’m pricing it at what it owes me to put it together. Sorry no trades.

Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK for free if required.

  5. Yamaha Reface CP Piano

High quality Yamaha mini piano from the Reface series. These are highly regarded instruments producing serious piano sounds in a compact package. This one has the official brackets so it can be used on a strap - easily removed if need be. It has the option of battery or mains power and the PSU is included. There are some great demos of this online. It is in great functional condition with some minor cosmetic blemishes. The original owner had put stickers and glued markers on the keys to aid their learning. I successfully removed all of these however on two keys there was glue residue that required sanding down and thought this has no effect on playability. These two keys - the higher and middle C keys are slightly dulled as a result but this can only seen in a certain light.

The CP has tremolo, wah, chorus, phaser, reverb and delay onboard effects with hands on control. Authentic Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Yamaha, Hohner and Toy piano all easily accessible. Note that two markers remain on the octave button.

No other accessories included - the midi lead for this model is available online.

I can post on the UK got £12.

    No trades.
I used this as a practice piano whilst my hand was healing following an operation and it enabled me to continue to play thanks to the smaller keys.

  6. Roland VR-09 V Combo Keyboard

Excellent performance keyboard, very capable at producing classic Rhodes and Hammond sounds as well as Vox & Farfisa organs, suitcase pianos, etc.

The keyboard has a great synth section as well as drums, brass, human voice and classic pads. There is a looper and drum machine so you can record performances. None of these were functions I used I only used it for its organ sounds for live performance whilst my Nord was being repaired. I bought it brand new in April of this year and have gigged it once although I have rehearsed with it a lot and used it at home for recording. It’s in excellent condition - like new really. Unfortunately I don’t have the original packaging but I do have the manual and PSU (it can also operate on batteries). It’s nice and portable and really light for a quality keyboard. Lots of demos online and very positive reviews. It cost £599 and is still under guarantee from Andertons so I will offer it for £425 posted UK only.  No trades. Pickup welcome.

It comes in a used Roland Juno gig bag.

  7. It’s a great little synth based on the legendary SH101 but with all the advantages and stability of a modern digital synth.

It comes with K25M keyboard and all boxes and manuals. Both units are in excellent condition. This is the limited edition version in red.

I’ll post the module attached to the keyboard in the K25M box for protection. I will remove batteries before posting as I wouldn’t want them to leak. The unit comes with a USB lead. It requires 4 AA batteries or power from USB. It has a small speaker built in so you don’t need an amp to play with it on the move.

The SH-01A is a meticulous reproduction of the iconic Roland SH-101, one of the most popular classic synthesizers of all time. Our Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology reproduces the SH-101’s legendary sounds by faithfully recreating the actual behavior of the original analog circuits, right down to the fine details and odd quirks that have endeared the synth to musicians and producers for decades. The SH-01A builds on the great sounds and creative immediacy of the original, now in the popular Roland Boutique format—offering exciting new polyphonic capabilities, inspiring new performance features, and a level of authenticity that could only come from Roland.

UK only sale. Postage is £15. No trades.

I thought all the first Musicmasters (with the tulip tuners) had a black pickguard. So what colour did the black one come with?

They had white scratchplates the later ones had black. My first bass was a Musicmaster cream with a black plate. I still own the manual but sadly swapped the bass for an Aria full scale job when I was 17.

My Musicmaster had a distinctive darker rectangle on the upper side of the body above the bridge. A sticker had been placed on there and it had faded in the shop window - Kingfisher Music. We got it for £85!
I would love to get it back!

  9. Great little amp bought as a backup but hardly used - it sits atop my vintage Jennings amp and looks very yellow.

Sounds lovely through my Jennings Celestion cab and even better through a lot NY12. Punchy and slightly darker than the usual LM eq but very flexible.
Now less than £1 per watt! Postage £12 in the UK.
Some marks on the top panel with normal use and transporting to gigs.
    No trades. Thanks.

Depends - I will do friends and family for any amount that I am reasonably confident on and I have established that the person I am talking is a real genuine person and I would be prepared to send them an envelope of cash, but if it is a large amount that I am not prepared to lose I would pay ordinary paypal, it is only a few quid more and you get protection on it.

Yes but if that person is a scammer pretending to be a person you know as in the case of Chaypup (who I have had great deals with previously) it would be hard not to be taken in. I’m glad that nobody lost out this time.

  11. Used in my home studio - great monitors or for your Hi Fi

Monitor Audio Bronze BR2 Hi Fi Speakers/Monitors

The speakers are in superb condition having never been pushed hard. They come with original grills. Cosmetically they are in great condition with a few marks as can be seen in the pics.

I’d prefer pickup but can wrap and post at buyer’s cost. They are robustly made therefore pretty chunky and weighty so postal costs will reflect this. Posted will be about £18
