Thanks man, here is a sample if anyone’s interested. The bass had flats on at the time and the 62 pickup
Some Paul Jackson vibes in there!

I can attest from recordings that Andy sent me a while ago, this bass sounds lovely.

Everyone is probably way ahead of me here but just discovered this band the other day and am hooked:

Tobie contacted me to buy a Sadowsky preamp pedal from me. Details arranged and payment made quickly. Friendly and prompt communication. Many thanks.

Oh god, I don’t know how I’d not seen this until just now, and quite by accident. That’s terrible news.
I never met Nick in person but have chatted with him on threads and in private messages over the years. He’ll be missed.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Currently working my way through this guy’s discography after discovering him yesterday. Cheesy, yes, but in the funkiest way.

Oh jeez. Have you got the actual dimensions of the rehoused unit please. I don’t have much space in my board….. but…
123.5mm x 98.5mm x 45mm.

Funnily enough I saw him pop up on the FBass insta feed the other day. Didn't know whether to laugh or what.
It’s definitely intended humour. This clip made me pee myself (you’ll know which bit):

Any Donny Benét fans in here, I reckon you’ll dig this album that just came out today by an artist with a similar vibe, both musically and with the tongue-in-cheek humour.

Another smooth transaction with Gavin, this time with him as the buyer. I listed a pedal and tagged him and within an hour he agreed to buy and paid. All easy with prompt and friendly communication. Many thanks.

In case this weren’t obvious, as this is a MIDI device, you can trigger it with anything that sends MIDI note data, so that even includes footpedal controllers such as the Morningstar stuff.

I'm no Ed Friedland, but here's my attempt at a review of the Noble for those who are curious. Recorded examples with jazz and P bass with various EQ settings, overview of features/specs and honest feedback from using it 'in the field' over the last 18 months:

Examples of the Noble in a full band mix (signal path was bass>Noble>desk, nothing else):

Also am now listening to your EP too and really enjoying it.

I would never think to put compressor after envelope.
Why would you want to tame those peaks and valleys?
Give the envelope a nice even tone from the comp, no?
You still get the frequency sweeps but without big volume spikes at high resonance. It can be very useful for taming some of the wilder filters out there such as the Fwonkbeta, Enigma and MF-101.

I had one for quite some time. In fact I think I’ve owned two. I used the Nik West “born again compressor” and loved it when set to about 10-11 o’clock.

Dammit, might be forced to sell my T-47 if my other gear continues to not sell despite good prices, as I know the Cog will be gone in seconds.
Managed to sell my MXR VBO instead.

You’re missing v2!
what date roughly will we find out about the new SA thing??
There never was a v2 hardware (it was software only).
Not sure about the new SA as it’s not down to me, but also I wouldn’t be allowed to say, even if I did know. I do know it’s been pushed back six weeks because the selector switch batch that came in had been erroneously manufactured 180 degrees out of phase! Roger confirmed that on The Gear Page a few days ago.

Ignore the silly prices and make a few Stingray specs. Nothing ground breaking on the tool but fun nonetheless, the coloured pole pieces are a nice touch.
They used to have this back in the early 2000s when they had a vastly bigger range of basses, finishes and options. Was gutted they removed it as you could construct a nice big jpeg from it.
Ooh, cool, they’ve brought back the SLO Special nut width!
