What is it about 42mm you don't like?
That sounds like a stupid question and I prefer a narrower neck too, but it turns out for me it's the narrower string spacing I like and the actual neck isn't a big deal. I've made new nuts with narrower string spacing for a few of my basses that had wider spacing than I'd ideally like. I works really well and doesn't leave a big empty space at the sides like you'd first think. Going from 42mm to 38mm* only leaves an extra 2mm of fretboard either side of the E and G strings and you don't notice it but you really notice the tighter spacing.
* The nut obviously stays at 42mm but the slots are closer together.
Well well, thats an interesting idea. As a big fan of slim necks maybe I should try an experiment or two.....

How do you date the Aerodyne Jazzes? I have one but have no clue as to when it was made

As said above he's put in the hours and knows about music, can play piano, has busked, studied, and put himself into all sorts of band/musical situations in order to learn.
If he was to put an album out I doubt it'd be an hours worth of the sort of blistering material that he crams into his 3 minute videos, I for one would buy it.
He's achieved what I believe the majority of us on here would probably like to achieve and most likely would try if given a different life/universe, and joined the ranks of the most well rounded players on the planet at this point.
Kind of a Guthrie Govan for bass. I buy his stuff too.- 3

A memory prompted from a post up there, flew back from Ireland and on our plane was Dean Friedman. When we landed he used the urinal next to me. And didn't wash his hands

The guitarist and singer of one of the bands I'm in have been in bands together previously. One of their previous bands were doing quite well locally and another band on the scene that had supported them before got hold of them and asked to play support at their upcoming Tavistock Wharf gig.
They said they had some record company types that wanted to see them ASAP and the Wharf would be the perfect venue.
My bandmates band thought some record company exposure could be good so jumped at the idea.
Roll on plenty of years and that guitarist and singer are in a band with me and their support band did alright out of the deal as well I think. I don't know where they are now.
They were called Muse.
Would that band have been named Goodstaff?

His skill levels are through the roof, but when you see how much work he's put in to get to where he is today its deservedly so.

Sometimes when I'm led in bed at night, I think about this.
I've been playing for 38 years now and have reached a certain level on the instrument.
I think to myself if i had practiced ruthlessly, every single day, putting in 6 plus hours, not just doing what i fancy, but laser focused, structured learning, only stopping for eating and sleeping, how much quicker could i have got to the same level?
I come up with something around 6 to 9 months.
Feel depressed that i could of reclaimed 37 years of my life, and go back to counting sheep instead.
I suppose the opposite is true as well, if you'd started playing ten years later than you did you'd still have ten years to go to get to your current standard. Or 6 weeks using the model you used up there.
So here's a deal, I have a scheme that can** add ten years playing experience to your style. Yours for the bargain price of £50, I'll pm the details after payment
** possibly. -
May we see the other ones too?

Listened twice, not getting this one at all tbh

Found this to an utter snoozefest. I understand it's place in the 'heirarchy' of music so to speak, but for me it has very little appeal. As a bit of background music to a romantic candlelit dinner or something yes, but I think I'm simply not sophisticated enough to enjoy its presence

Normally fairly enjoy stuff like this, but couldn't warm to the first half of the album, found it got easier as it went on though, so maybe a second spin will yield different results .
Must confess to not having found time to play last weeks AOTW yet, will also get round to thatListened to Bjorks Medulla at last (a week late) - masterpiece. Why I didn't already have this in my collection I don't know.
