      I`d agree with the Ashdown comments, great sounding amps and very good customer service. Their smaller Class D range, the RM amps are very good and make touring nice and easy.

      In terms of basses I`m keeping I`m down to one regular scale bass (my fave Precision that I`ll never sell due to our shared history) and from now on will only buy short scale basses, they just work so much better for me.

      It can be nasty, I had one really bad day, the next 10 or 11 were like a bad cold but when I returned to work afterwards the fatigue and brain-fog were rotten for a further 2 weeks.

      Maybe it`s due to lack of gigging opportunities as venues decide more & more that they can`t afford bands - though the pub I went to see a covers band in a few weeks back was heaving, and only so because of said band (that prob got £250).

    Should I sell my spare head? Been wondering for a while. I have a Markbass LM3 & a Markbass LM800. I generally use the LM3 for gigs etc, and the LM800 for practice. How many amps have you got? Ever thought of shifting them? Do I need two amps, or should I shop one in? Hmm…thoughts?

      I have two amps, main is Ashdown ABM600, backup is Ashdown RM500. I rarely get to use either as most gigs are shared/provided rigs but I`ll always have two, though only take one to gigs. I have 2 gigs this week where I`m using the ABM but of course before I leave I`ll make sure it`s working, if not then the RM gets the job. And I have a Sansamp as well which is always in the bag.

    Was getting all excited over a 300 quid long service award from work. What to buy? Liked the look of the Origin Bassrig SV... Maybe go towards an Alpha Omega Photon... 

     

    Arrived today.... Vouchers for your choice of vendor. Fashion outlets, Amazon, Argos, M&S, Sainnsburys... FFS...

      I got similar for my 30 years of service so got my shopping with the vouchers and then spent the money I would ordinarily have used at the supermarket to get the gift that I wanted.

      I think that offering to meet half way has to be a workaround on this. I understand not wanting to post, given dubious courier experiences on many threads on here, but without doing something like this it can really restrict the number of buyers,

      Are you finding this as your current bass has a thicker or thinner neck than a P-Bass? Although I find Jazzes easier to play for some reason I find I can get hand cramp when playing one, but once I jumps back the thicker precision the cramps fade.

      Well your back will certainly give thanks for that Andy, not sure how BF & Orange cabs compare sound-wise but I can`t see the BF610 not being a worthy replacement.
