EBMM prices have gone crazy, I didn't realise until recently how much something like my Blue Pearl SR5 would cost new now.

Elton kicking off in style with a great band. First Stingray I've seen, and he's wearing a hat too.
I've seen a few Candi Staton's guy had one too, another 5er.

Whatever the sound crew have done with the bass should be set for every Glastonbury gig forever, every band must use a Stingray and never touch the dials again! First time ever heard what the bassist is playing.

So far this is the highlight of this year's festival, mix sounds good too.
Stingray 5 is cutting through in every octave.

Can I just put things in to perspective a little.
Some of these artists were at the top of their game 40/50 plus years ago.
Around that time I could change the clutch on an MGB in four hours allowing time for a chat with work colleagues, bacon sandwich break and a ten minute scive.
These days I couldn’t even attempt it.
So what have we learnt from that, don't attempt something if you can't reasonably expect to achieve it? Hhmm.

New drinking game: shot every time Slash changes guitar. I've seen three so far.
Imagine having that many guitars and them all being broken, poor bloke isn't having much luck!

Why don't bands like GnR just smash out all the hits?
That's ten minutes of pointless jam night noodling followed by something we've never heard before.
If it's not your gig just play your hits.
For a master class see Queen at live aid.

It's when the earth is bad coming from the supply, bad extension lead or the socket feeding it.

Bet he could do a great Mustang Sally
He's actually sounding a bit better on this longer footage, poor lad clearly needs a good rest.

He's really good. Seems like part of the band already.
Anyone who's going to drum for Dave Grohl has to be really good.
I thought Daves daughter gave a pretty solid performance as well.
Bit of a grumpy teenager, nicotine stained teeth and chewing gum like her old man though.

Lewis Capaldi, wouldn't even have him in my pub band.
New Foof drummer is pretty good.

My dad used to do electrical work for Geezer, one day they were putting up garden lights and him and his Mrs were having a right barney outside about him buying another car ,a Ferrari maybe but my dad knows nothing about cars but something along those lines. He went off in a mood and she came out later with the tea and biscuits, she apologised about the language and ruckus and explained that she wasn't bothered about him buying another car, it's his money but he kept buying them then he'd get bored and leave them all over the place, look there's a Maserati in there, and a Porsche over there and so on, she was only bothered because he was littering the place with exotic cars. Nice bloke though apparently.

I had some Rotosounds bought online, they sounded terrible, felt horrible and lost what top end they had after one gig, definitely genuine 😜

Pretty sure Tributes are built by Cor Tek (Cort) which is very a good choice of manufacturer for out sourcing.
There was a lot of stigma regarding the working conditions a few years ago but I've not heard much lately, it's that still a thing?

“200,000 sq. ft. facility employs close to 1,000 employees. The new facility, located at 345 Cessna, will add hundreds of jobs to support Fender’s Custom Shop and “Made in the USA” production lines across Fender®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, Charvel®, and EVH®products”.
Unfortunately around 300 staff were laid off in 2022. Google suggests average US Fender salary is $56,000.
I would hazard a guess that the Mexican factory pays less and the Chinese and Indonesian factories way way less and produce far more instruments.
A lot bigger than musicman then.

Absolutely this. A professional will buy what he wants because he knows it will pay for itself and then go on to earn him more.
And it's tax deductible.

I'm not sure how many employees Musicman have in San Luis but the factory isn't massive, I had two laps of the building before anyone started to give us funny looks so we left. I imagine the Fender sites are much more like what you think of when thinking of mass produced items.
I'm not sure I'd spend £3000+ on any bass tbh, I'm glad I've already got a couple that'll see me out.

I've got an name in my head that fits the logo I think, could it be Rockstar?
R and a Star if you turn it 90 degrees.

In some ways Harley have been more like Fender, massive debts and propped up by government money, buy up other brands that are doing well and could seriously diversify their product range and possibly finally turn a profit only to close the brand down for no good reason. Genz-Benz vs Buell.
