1. I used handmade instrument selector. One knob was able to boost quiet output, second knob was able to reduce hot output. lots of LED options (also knobs were able to be switched on/off with internal trimmer according to setting). Not using it at the moment, nobody wanted to buy that staff (I am located in Slovakia), so I am keeping it just in case...
2. before: upper part now in "testing mode" (some pedals are not attached yet, new patch cables needed. power source changed, OC2 and instrument selector from inside are gone).

testing the beast...both fuzzes sound awesome, can´t wait to test it with my SVT stack. as for the signal chain feature, it works (to my ears and hands) better in loop of GR1 instead of being in front/afterGR1. great great feature.
5. current version before rebuild (i will add new custom fuzz from COG and OC2) patch 1 is COG Knightfall (channel 1 always ON) patch 2 is clean GR1 patch 3 is COG + GR1 patch 4 is ODB3 + Behringer Tremolo for loud stutter effect patch 5 is clean

can´t wait to get this. i am pretty sure that this will kill some of my bandmates, especially lead guitar communication with tom was again great (well, at least for me ), he is superb guy to deal with when you want to materialize crazy ideas the idea was to create two separete fuzzes, one grindy and one more polite. it ended with two filthy fuzzes in one box. i also asked if there would be a possibility to have the fuzz in my chain as other effects and also in loop of Groove Regulator at once. just a crazy idea. and tom created a solution. what a smart head! description from tom: This one is a little bit special. On the left we have a Tarkin with the Mids switch replaced with a continuous knob, and on the right is a Superfuzz clone for old skool fuzzy deliciousness. The special thing about this pedal is it is designed to be placed at two different points within the signal chain - in this case, both within the loop of an envelope filter AND in series with the filter. The middle footswitch switches which point in the chain the pedal is placed. In addition to the footswitch, there is also a Control jack on the back of the pedal to remotely control this function. This client uses a G-Lab controller and will use one of the available amp switch jacks when programming his patches, but it could just as easily be used with the GigRig G2, One Control Crocodile Tail or Free The Tone ARC amongst others.
7.
Anyone not wanting a sonic port but something like the Positive Grid plug HD or Apogee Jam this could be handy http://www.radialeng...stagebugsb5.php
I would like to know, what is better solution in terms of sound quality - if sonic port kind of solution (everything through 30pin/lightning port), or Psotive Grid plug HD/Apogee Jam and this radial box (bass signal through 30pin/lightning port, signal out through audio port).
8. very interesting topic, I would like to say THANK YOU tayste for inspiration and comprehensive description in that amazing blog series. it influenced me to borrow irig hd and purchase jamup + packs during this summer sale. I don´t know why, but i would like to go with less described way - with a USB Class Compliant interface, so I can power my ipad and use midi oriented controllers...but who knows how it will end I don´t need to end with "all packed in bass guitar case", so I would probably prefer something like IO dock 2/foot controller/DI/tuner and not use bluetooth controllers...but again, who knows, am only exploring the possibilities, and to be honest, the idea that I will be able to replace my board + SVT VR/SVT810 rig with an Ipad and couple of gadgets is pretty crazy and also scary
9. I use my 66 as it was described by Tom and it works great, channel 1 is "always on" OD and channel 2 is pretty high gain gnarly one. This piece is definately a keeper, I got many compliments about the sound after live gigs and the combination of spector euro 5lx, COG kn66 and svt vr/810 is just superb. guiness21 - yes it works well, my spector euro5 lx is a high output bass (my version of tone pump does not have trim to set the level) and it works brilliant. I used it also with my former Sadowsky M24 which had also high output (not as hot as spector) and it also worked well.
10. I compared AD200b with my SVT VR on my SVT810 and I prefered the tone of SVT VR. I would be happier if SVT VR would weight as orange, price for last retubing was a bit devastating, but the tone...I prefere ampeg, but that is my just my opinion, you can´t go wrong if you prefer Orange.
11. Ian is a superb guy to deal with. He sold me Sadowsky M5 24 bass and was very kind to ship outside UK to Slovakia. Hope to deal with him again! Thank you very much
12. I have in progress something like a dual fuzz, two fuzzes in one box. we called it yin yin fuzz because my first idea was that one fuzz would kill and other one would be, let´s say, more polite and it would be like yin yang but we ended with two killers, so there is no "day" part, only two wicked night storms. tom is the one!
