Here is my lovely Fender Japan FSR 62 Walnut Jazz bass with hard case. £850 This is a stunning bass to play. Very punchy sound, with more kick than my USA jazz. The neck is a slim “C” shape with a rosewood fingerboard and exceptionally smooth and easy to play. Weight is 8.9lbs My drummer will be upset this is up for sale as the walnut finish matches his favourite snare drum! The walnut finish is lovely and very tricky to photograph. The machine heads and bridge are a smokey black which matches the walnut finish superbly. There is a small ding on the back of the headstock which is difficult to show. it's difficult let go of this one go. Can meet up half way, within reason. Otherwise I will post it in the UK for £40 insured.

Unfortunately I have to sell it … This is a dream bass! Wal Mk1 Bass from 1987 in ’like new condition’ (for its age), with a wonderfully shimmering Shedua Facing. Nothing is nasty rubbed off or scuffed, no major dings or dongs - please see photos. The only thing that could be criticized is a little bit of pot scratching. It doesn’t get any better! Weight: unbelievable 4.1 kg with the strap! OHSC: yes Unfortunately, this time only sales, I need the money… unless someone offers me a Fodera Singlecut 4/5 1: 1, then I could possibly be tempted. Amber burst finish, Brass nut 1.5 inch, weight 8.7lbs, 34 scale, Grover tuners, Dean Jazz pickups, fishman bridge with Piezo saddles, Abalone B2 on the 12th fret, 24 frets all fully accessible due to deep cutaways on the bass. Basswood body, Beautiful flame maple top and peghead veneer,maple neck with walnut stringers and rosewood fingerboard. Controls, considerably easier to use than to look at. lol.By pickups front to back. Master Volume, Piezo Volume, selector switch, magnetic only/Magnetic and Piezo/Piezo..Back knobs. Stacked lower Bass cut/boost top treble cut/ boost. Middle knob..stacked knob at front, top volume bridge pickup lower volume neck pickup..This makes the bass capable of literally all styles of playing..Oh and yes really cuts into the mix.. A true joy to play jazz style neck.. Overall excellent condition for a 12 year old bass, a few dings, nothing major. neck pristine.Battery box latch works fine but plastic clasp chewed.. These basses new were £700-£800 new..and rightly so..This is anything but a low end budget bass, Think very top of the range Ibanez..I am asking £400 but in reality as they donk come up at all. Hi All, 1983 Fender Jazz Bass with non original hard case, with a few changes to make it look more of a vintage model. Looks and sounds fantastic, though, helped by the installation of new electrics including EMG pickups (see pics), so routed for a battery. 1983 was a transitional year for the Jazz and this model would not have had ashtrays, a thumb rest, a chrome plate, so new holes to accommodate those add-ons, plus holes to add tort guard. Plenty of life in the frets. Happy to consider trades. Cheers, Si

This is going back to Overwater for a new nut and a setup. I am trying again! The reason I was giving up was that it was not setup properly. I live in a setup WASTELAND. I had paid someone to do it locally but it was not a happy bunny. I cannot give up so easily. I dissapoint myself on occasion with my lameness. This is my second try with the bottom F#. The 6th string just throws me off balance. I want to make it happen but reality bites. I am not going to manage it. It is strung with a new set of Newtone strings. F# up to G. If you want to go up to C I will discount the cost of a new C string from Mr Newtone. I have no idea when this was built but it must be on the older side. It is 36" scale and very red. The full instrument pictures look a bit Donald Trump, but do not be fooled. It is proper red. The original preamp has been replaced with an East. No idea when or why, but it does that East thing very nicely thank you. This is a substantial piece of wood and does what substantial pieces of wood do. It sounds substantial. It also weighs quite a bit more than a chambered Super Jazz. Be under no false impression that it is filled with helium. Do I wish I could make it work? Yes. Can I? No. As I said, reality bites. Before anyone asks it would be GREAT for metal. Price includes fully insured shipping in a mature Yamaha HSC. I do not need to sell it. The price is firm. I am not interested in trades, but thanks for thinking about it.

hi folks I picked this up recently and whilst its a very nice bass it just reinforced that I wanted a "proper" Fender P-bass (I prefer the balance of a Fender), and I can't justify both so I'm moving it on again. Kim Deal played the same model in the Pixies (see video below), it really is a nice sounding thing. This is a bass from the "legendary" Matsumoku factory, with some specs here: http://www.matsumoku.org/models/ariaproii/bass/csb/csb.html I've been led to believe this one is a 1981 model, maybe one of the Matsumoku geeks could confirm. The neck on this is in fantastic condition given the age. Its 32", and remarkably comfortable. On the downside, the body is dinged. A lot. Its not a case queen, please check out the photos. It has been used and abused by some barbarian at some point, I can't pretend otherwise. But honestly, the neck doesn't seem to have suffered! (see pics). It comes with the original case. Its not in the best nick, but I think its pretty rare to find a forty year old Matsumoku bass with the original case! Also, remarkably for an old case it doesn't smell like someone died in it. For sale or trade a rather lovely ACG Border Reiver. Purchased from the gent that is EAD on here, original ad below. The clarity the ACG FB bridge and ACG FB neck pickups offer is fantastic, really open sound. Ergonomics are great, very comfortable to play both standing or seated. Neck has an asymmetric carve so very easy to navigate. You are hard pushed to find a better made bass in this price bracket than an ACG IMHO so price is firm. Overall condition of the bass is excellent, it has mellowed to a more golden colour than the pics suggest. Only moving on as trying to limit myself to 34" scale on 4 strings as I find switching between them easier. For sale only, no trades thanks. My recently purchased BB 434. I have a P bass and a J bass incoming so somethings got to go. It is in as new condition, totally standard. It weighs in at a shade under 4 kg or 8.8 lb`s. There is lots of info on these out there along with a rather long topic so if you don`t know about these, have a look. I would much rather that it was collected/meet whilst observing all the usual but will post it to the UK only if you give me a few day to get (well steal really) some packaging materials. Bank transfer preferred or Paypal ff. Re the photo`s, the bass is like a 2 tone sunburst but some of them make the bass more bright than it is due to the flash.

Chowny SWB-1 with EMG 2 band active circuit with internally switchable (via microswitch) control to change treble settings. This is an older version of the bass in a colour that is no longer available. I upgraded the pickups to the latest Chowny X versions as the previous ones were a bit underpowered IMO. Scale length is 30.5" and weight by my bathroom scales is about 8lb (3.6kg). It's in very good condition although there are a very small number of minor blemishes. I've highlighted the most noticeable (2 hairline cracks in the finish on the back - 1 by lower horn, 1 near control cover; and a tiny ding going through the top layer of paint above the rear pickup). I'll pack securely and ship at buyers expense or meet up within a reasonable distance of Tunbridge Wells in a socially distanced complaint way.

Hi guys I bought this a few years ago as a backup bass and its spent its entire life in a hiscox case in the wardrobe. Probably has 3 or 4 hours play on it, tops. Not for any bad reason - I bought it as a cheap backup that was just never required. I'm letting it go cheap because I'm trying to cut down my gear and reclaim some space. I *think* its a PB-50 model, its clearly based on a 50s precision anyway. The neck is chunky, it has a 50s style Wilkinson P pickup. It also came strung with D'addario strings. Pickup and strings alone must be pushing the asking price... Disclaimer time: this came from Thomann marked as a "deco" model which means it failed their QC in some way. The neck and body are marked with a D as a result. I have never been able to work out why it was marked in this fashion. The electronics work, the action and relief are OK, it plays fine. But I don't want to mislead anyone. The finish is remarkably good for a cheap bass. In the photos I took outside the scratchplate looks a bit blotchy - this is just fingerprints being shown off in the sun. I'll polish them off. I don't have a box big enough, and frankly postage would cost as much as I'm asking. Happy to put this "on hold" for someone trustworthy until lockdown lets us meet people outside so that it can be safely collected (from Burntisland, Fife).
