  1. Past hour
  2. Mute is a cool idea, but if at the end ... if other pedals are active, such as octave/chorus/OD, can the tuner still get a good lock on the tuning note? Sam x
  3. Take a lift (off my spliff) - Jacob "Killer" Miller
  4. I always preferred putting it at the front because then you don't have to turn everything off to tune up! But, yeah, it doesn't matter that much!
  5. quality delay pedal. Lovely warm Analog sounds with digital. Fantastic bit of kit in a nice sized pedal. https://crazytubecircuits.com/time Glowing reviews on the web. Nice copper looks finish Excellent condition boxed with gubbins. £115 posted. Happy to hear trades
  6. There is a snapped screw in one hole and one of the other holes is a bit too small to take the screw, so it'll need some fettling, or you could just use the two decent slots. Includes a brand new Neutrik blank plate (not pictures). It comes with some screws. Five quid posted or you can have it for nothing if you collect from Manchester 25th - 30th March or Brum any time after that.
  7. Okay so I've virtually finished the mods to the vintage white V-4 "Steve Harris" homage, just waiting on a custom made mirror guard but everything else is done. Mods included = Added 3 string tree to headstock Steve Harris signature strings Revival RPPB 11.5k replacement pickup (£35 off Amazon) Upgraded wiring Changed pots to CTS ones with a no load tone control (still want use of tone knob if needed) (temporary) mirror vinyl overlay New control knobs Iron Maiden vinyl sticker (a little smaller than the West Ham one but I think it looks okay) Set up with super low action I decided to change the pickup for one with more output and found this on amazon. I have Revival pickups in two of my strats (the Hendrix set and the 1954 set) so I know they make a good pickup for very little money So how does she sound after all these changes? In a word fantastic, the pickup swap has increased the output of over the stock model and retained the tonal signature of a standard P-Bass. It improved output and clarity through the range but really didn't become over-powering and loud for the sake of being loud.
  8. Pair of, useful for mounting PSUs (or other stuff you don't want to see) under your board. They definitely work on bigger Pedaltrain boards (they came off a Novo 24), they might work with others. I *think* they're the tru-fit small size. They're about 19cm long by about an inch wide - that's about 95° Fahrenheit for anyone outside the E.E.C. 6cm of soft velcro at the top (or bottom, I can't remember which way round they go). They come with some screws. Five quid posted or you can have them for nothing if you collect from Manchester 25th - 30th March or Brum any time after that.
  9. Without knowing what the sub in question is this is all blind speculation.
  10. The video is informative, but completely ignores wall loading subs, which is far more effective than placement in front of the stage, not only in terms of how well the subs will work but also because in most clubs center placement is impractical, if not impossible.
  11. If I do it I'll probably take it to Feline. They do excellent work like that, and I know they have experience with paulownia. I actually have a boxed set of EMG PJ-X pickups sitting around. They are my favourite pickups. I'll have to give it some serious thought.
  12. That is an LPF by any other name. So well placed it will cut the HF noise. What cable did I use? I suspect it was Tricone 2, that has 95% screening from memory. Spirit has close to 100% but I have never had any issues with Tricone2. Most of my cables are made using it.
  13. The mid scoop can be cured / reduced a lot with EMGs and their Active Balance Control. I have that set up in a few of my basses for that very reason. But when I pick up a different 2 pickup bass I have to recalibrate my thinking EQ again!
  14. The Line6 has a 'cable' setting. Whisper it quietly it's the cable you gave me Which is great by the way.
  15. You need better cables then Phil. In saying that, it may be the output impedance of the Line 6 being much lower than a passive bass?
  16. Oh come on C is 262, Bis 247Hz maybe the pub only employ guitarists who tune to Eb
  17. Have you met my band? The singer was convinced we had a faulty cable causing feedback once!
  18. Talking about - portrait of Tracy. Has anyone played it on upright?
  19. such a lovely instrument. Plays so well.
  20. I set one of these up for a bassist in one of my drummer's other bands and achieved the lowest action on any bass I've ever done. The quality of the neck was quite superb! Glwts!
  21. Now available for collection/local delivery in the Nottingham/Derby/Leicester area £250 inc. foot controller For the guitarist in your life…. I bought this new in November last year along with the Boss cover and GA-FC foot controller. It’s been upgraded to the latest firmware and then, I’m sad to say, ignored. This is because a) I am terminally stupid and b) quit the band shortly after I bought the amp and never actually got to gig it. I’ve finally accepted that my gigging days are done so this needs to go as it’s looming presence is a constant reminder of what might have been…. Brand new this lot is about £440 I’m asking just £275 collected from North Nottingham or I can do local(-ish) drop off. I no longer have the box so shipping is not an option, I’m afraid. Condition is fantastic and you’re welcome to come and try it out…. Pics;
  22. Valerie and I Predict a Riot are two I absolutely hated hearing and playing. Thankfully the latter had a relatively short lifespan in the set but Valerie - eurgh. Also Does Your Mother Know, one of the weaker and less well known Abba songs but guitarists always seem to pick it. Hated playing it years ago and our new guitarist is trying to get it into the set, why would you pick that over all the great Abba songs that fill a dancefloor?
