  2. You know they shook me baby They shook me all night long
  3. Maybe try Stairway to Heaven by a band called Led Zeppelin, next. It will leave you SHOOK.
  4. I’ll need to gig my old B1-Four out as i have a nice genetic tone with just the right amount of drive programmed in for the type of songs I’m doing. I can’t remember what i was using, but it wasn’t from an amp sim. I remember at one stage i was using various BDDI’s and switching between them. I’ll probably not do that this time.
  5. I recently acquired one of these and it looks and feels pretty vintage. But I can’t find any information about them or how to date them. Can anyone help? All I’ve found is that Status made these Precision copies before they focused on Graphite necks so I’m thinking late 80’s?
  6. Hi all, For sale is my circa 2017/2018 Squier Jaguar Short Scale in Candy Red. I've owned this since new and mostly played at home with it bar a few gigs. These are pretty desirable and I can totally understand why, its a lovely little bass and sounds great. There are a few signs of wear on the pickguard and a couple of very small dings on the top of the neck (I've tried to picture them, but its hard to pick them up). The bass looks very presentable, but I have played it for 6 years and it hasn't just been a guitar stand queen, so expect some signs of wear and not a brand new bass. Setup and action is very neutral, Project Music in Exeter did a setup when I purchased it and its been great since. I restrung it around a year ago with Ernie Ball strings and they have plenty of life left in them. The bass weighs 3.6kg. Trades - I'm interesting in getting a Sire P5, so if anyone has one of those I could add cash. Collection - I would prefer collection, but for the asking price I would be willing to meet half way for a serious buyer (up to an hour away from Exeter). All the best, Chris
  7. It’s good for my bank balance that every bass I want to buy is located up north! GLWTS
  8. Ah. I am bereft of EBS cabs…alas
  9. You just left my comfort zone. Someone who knows what they're talking about will be along in a minute ...
  10. Cheers Buddy, yeah i know i'm going to miss this one when it's gone, but I'm gassing for other preamps atm!
  11. This is the one I'd like to master, but I don't think I have enough years in me left to do so (I'm 45).
  12. A manufacturer we buy a lot of items from at work use DHL. They had a tick box option that said "Courier to bring labels" on their courier request form to save us printing them out. However, in our experience, the DHL driver never had the labels, so the items would not get collected unless we printed and put them on the box ourselves. I have noticed that tick box option has disappeared from the request form so must have been a regular issue!
  13. Final reduction to £850 - collect or close meet up.
  14. Totally agree about the ZNR ("Zoom Noise Reduction") being a must - that's a standard block on pretty much all my B1-4 patches.
  15. I saw them at Knebworth in the summer of '76 and they were fantastic! The full line-up that day were The Rolling Stones, 10cc, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Todd Rundgren's Utopia , Hot Tuna , Don Harrison Band. Brings back great memories for me.
  16. You mean there are singers where you don't want to?
  17. Established bands have that too. Our last gig was NYE, next one is 11th May.
  18. I have to say, the Djent preamp is SICK! I'm still playing with it to see if I can get the settings right for it to be useable for me in the band, but it's an incredible distortion! The ZNR is really useful in conjunction with any of the drives too, I've just left it at default settings but works really well as a noise gate.
  19. Great topic! My goal is always to have really good gear and not pay a fortune for it. Currently running a Trace GP11SMX400 with the way-to-heavy 4x10 and a really tatty 1x15. The plan is to keep the head and replace the cabs. I'll just scour the usual sites until the thing comes up that is in my very limited price range, fits my needs, is relatively light, and available within driving distance. I'll probably aways keep the 4 x 10 cab unless someone throws a silly amount of money at me for it....it just sounds so nice!
  20. Thanks for the super-quick help Jack. The odd thing is, that the upper rear (i.e. volume) is indented and the lower rear (bass - boost/cut) isn't. Do you reckon the guy wired the two the wrong way around? Would the bass even work (i.e. make a noise) that way?
