  1. Past hour
  2. If I remember correctly, the head fits but it's not recommended. There was a thread here somewhere and Andy contributed.
  3. Thanks, these are rather nice.
  4. If you play the 1 6 2 5 and it sounds good then the answer is yes in my books regardless of whether the other musicians play it or not.
  5. So What - Miles Davis
  6. Thirty(!) years ago we recorded 10 songs in our rehearsal room with the band Bittermoon. We dragged a whole load of equipment to the moldy log cabin that was normally populated by the Boy Scouts. Our friends Bob and Rick recorded the whole thing on ADAT tapes. A kind of video tapes on which you could put multiple audio tracks. I can remember that those bitches often had trouble synchronizing. The intention was to mix the recordings in Doesburg at Rick's EP Studio. But that turned out differently. The recordings from the log cabin turned out not to be usable (because of inexplicable hum or something?). In the end, only the drums remained and the rest was replayed and sung in Rick's studio. When the whole thing could finally be mixed after months of toiling and tinkering, it was decided to do it in the Beverly Beat studio in Winterswijk. I don't really remember why. I do know that it cost a lot more money than we had thought beforehand... And as it goes when you -not hindered by any knowledge- insist on doing everything yourself, the result was actually a bit disappointing to us. In particular, one of our own favorites Back Against The Wall sounded weak and lifeless. Not in the least because in the final mix they forgot to turn on the bass drum, haha. Now, 30 years later, we can have a good laugh about it. And thanks to current technology, the forgotten bass drum has been found 😉 So here it is: a rehabilitated version of Back Against The Wall. Enjoy!
  7. When is it landing?
  8. @Bill Fitzmaurice Evening Bill, the new Deltalite turned up and Ive installed it. First impressions are to burn the cab! The rattles and resonances are all over the place at mid volumes. I wonder if we can improve it with porting? The wadding has turned up but Ive not installed it yet. Internal dimensions are 1110mm high x 690mm wide x 240mm deep.
  9. Dave bought some strings from me. He paid super quick and kindly took the time to let me know they arrived safely. Perfect communications too - highly recommended!
  10. Oooooh. That gives me all sorts of ideas.
  11. Today
  12. Hi Mark, no this is neither small or light, sorry. I’ll see if I can get a weight from Ashdown, but in all honesty - much like an SVT - if you need to know the weight, this probably isn’t the unit for you 😕
  13. This is already a bargain - I paid £165 for mine second-hand and was glad to find one at that price.
  14. Gary: I swear it was like biggest storm I have heard, it sounded like the lightning was this close! Chris: Never been to a Thunder gig before then?
  15. The Handbox WB100 is superb, I bet the R400 is too!
  16. "Move the pointy bit of your hat to the front, you poncy boyband pop-star!"
  17. Tried it many years ago when starting a band up. It was a really basic drum machine but it served its purpose in helping write the songs. I wouldn’t be adverse to it but I’d want it done properly, by someone who really knew what they were doing, and as @BigRedX points out gigging wise getting monitors sorted would be a priority.
  18. I've got one. I use it with a 400+ and its magnificent. Proper American heavy metal from Buchanan, Indiana. It would perhaps be better, as others have said, to leave this fine machine untouched and sell it on as is? You could be making someones dreams come true. 😃
  19. This is such an underrated pedal. Love mine. Good luck with the sale.
  20. Mmmm.... Now that is a work of beauty. Lovely amounts of usage. No showroom queen (in a really good way), you'd have no issues using this. Thankfully I'm completely skint but that's a great looking bass.
  21. Just for s__ts and giggles, I'm going to give the Donner Pocket Go a whirl. Anyone else tried one?
