  1. Past hour
  2. Bought some strings from David. Arrived quickly with great comms. Thanks
  3. Very cool, and now I want this.
  4. Made in USA, June 2009 Walnut body Buckeye burl top Ebony fingerboard Ebony pickup covers Ebony ramp Maple neck Di Marzio custom pickups Bartolini 3-band preamp (18 volts) Hipshot hardware Zero fret/24 frets 35-inch scale length Excellent overall condition Mono gig bag, seen better days but still functional. Open to a partial trade for a 4, 5, or 6-string fretless or a 4-string fretted guitar to get back into slap bass. Dane Alderson with his Aryel Deluxe 5: youtu.be/EgUeQYpiHgI Reason for selling: I have another 6-string guitar whose simpler electronics suit me better (balance/tone and that's it).
  5. I would take everything that man says with a grain of salt. He’s definitely no expert bassist.
  6. Could I just say how refreshing it is for someone to ask a question about actually playing the bass.
  7. Yeah, it’s pretty special. Light too.
  8. Now £100 posted to get it gone Source Audio programmable EQ pedal 4 presets and has a bass mode for the eq (It extends it down to 64hz) Great condition Velcro underneath Price includes UK mainland postage Collection welcome

  9. Came in a job lot but I won't use them 4 string set (the B has been taken out) Unused Happy to post at cost or you can collect
  10. And then 3, flat 3, 2, flat 2. Always fun to run a few substitutions.
  11. Really nice sound to that one
  12. Lovely, somewhere between Dusty Hill and Dusty Springfield! Good taste in components also 👍
  13. Our punk band kind of faded into non-existence. Gigs started to dry up and we ended up playing same places far too often so the audiences were getting less and less. The feel in the band was that there was a lack of interest and eventually we had a band meet and i made my point about the lack of interest and the BL agreed and that was kind of it. We all agreed that it was time to move on. No hard feelings and we all left as friends and still keep in touch via FB. When its done its done and best to move on but before you do it might be worth having a band meet to find out where everyone else is on it and what and where do they see the band going. Dave
  14. Nice to hear a What You’re Doing and La Villa Strangiato mashup. GLWTS and have a free bump.
  15. I knew it Daryl. You're his son 😂 Dave
  16. https://www.andybaxterbass.com/collections/fender-precision-bass/products/1955-fender-precision-bass-2-tone-sunburst-1 Nice video/sound clip of this very clean and original version sold this summer. For those interested in hearing the tone. (Bottom of the listing) I personally love these early contoured bodies, and this one. 😉
  17. No interest?
  18. Sure is a lovely looking bass. I hope you find a buyer. My first alembic was a SC signature and in recent years I got a new loom from alembic to convert it to anniversary electronics. Truly great basses.
  19. Today
  20. There are lots of very optimistically priced things out there. 3Leaf stuff being another example. Whether folks are actually willing to pay that much is a different matter.
  21. My lasting memory of my 1516 was our singer's "Dude, your cab broke my car....", that and it going walkabout (geddit) in the back of a courier van only to be located in rural Suffolk 3-months later
  22. 140 uk pounds is $325 NZ looking at Reverb there's $6-900 asking prices by gum
  23. I'm actually going to disagree there (based on my 2x15s). The ergonomics of the cabs handles is better than the single (top) handle on the Walkabout. Originally, you could get a sort of trolley, that attached to the back of the combo, but I've not one in the flesh ever.
  24. I can't believe you still have this! If I didn't already have a 500 I'd bite your hand off. A bargain awaits someone... GLWTS
