  2. Awesome man, yeah they're great things. If the other doesn't sell I will build something 🤣
  3. I can't remember where we got ours but they're a great way to get people to the merch table. Tell the audience theres free badges and they'll be straight there and you'll sell twice as many t shirts or records.
  4. Mine arrived today, it is a bloody lovely piece of wood that is soon going to be part of an Entwistle-esque slab body/maple cap neck build. Thanks Walshy 🙏
  5. Dang, that's got to be worth a few bob. Tom's Guitars is a great little shop that has carved out a nice little niche. Tom Smith specialises in weird and unusual second-hand instruments, unique and interesting things that fit in well with a vintage/craft market like Greenwich. It's not an approach that would work in many places, but I think the high footfall he gets in that spot makes it possible to find someone for all his odd 1960s East German guitars, electric bouzoukis, 80s shred machines, etc. I think it helps that he gets a lot of bored blokes who have been left dangerously unattended while their wives are off looking at the market's excellent selection of jewelry, fancy soap, handbags and antiques. I sold a home-built baritone guitar on commission through the shop last year – the sort of instrument that would have sat for years on ebay or in most shops. Tom shifted it in about three weeks.
  6. Is it any good for metal?
  7. The one on the Right now sold so only the left one remaining
  8. If i was 14 today i'd ask for a 2nd hand peavey tnt 115. Sounds great. plenty loud. easy to move about. lots of ins and outs. Completely future proof.
  9. Pm sent
  10. I play them with a pick, brings out the SC/flats tone beautifully
  11. I had an early Fender Custom Shop John English 51 P bass , beautiful to look at , but my thumb kept slipping off the single coil pick up . If money was no object , a 57 / 58 P Bass would be my choice .
  12. Anyone have a reliable and cost effective supplier of pin badges please? Or are they not a thing any more?🤔
  13. I've seen a similar finish problem repaired. The lifting paint had glue put under it and a vacuum table was used to press the paint back into place.
  14. Another incidence of appalling self-harm, the complete Dave Holland performance of the tune 'The Balance' from the 1998 Quintet album, 'Points Of View'. All 11 pages..... https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/the-balance-dave-holland-quintet/
  15. Andy Baxter has a graphite T-Bass just now.....

  17. Very well put together US-published book of in-depth interviews with guitarists based on a TV documentary. Refreshingly, not all are the usual suspects. Rarely seen here. 300 pages, very good condition. £13 posted UK. Now just £10
  18. That collection is absolutely perfect. Except for perhaps a flatwound Precision, I wouldn't add or get rid of a single bass there. Lovely.
  19. New and sealed Saving Grace CD and LP from the inimitable Mr Plant and pals. CD £10 posted LP £20 posted Together £25 posted. Keep one, give one as a Christmas present!

  21. I don’t suppose you fancy a swap for a DFAM?!
  22. Despite years of piano lessons and messing about on synths, I still don't want to play basslines on them - for some reason it just doesn't scratch the itch in the same way as playing them on bass guitar. Can never shake the feeling I'm pressing sprung switches, I don't feel the same connection. The FI VIP gives me that playing satisfaction, it's just more fun.
  23. The SC Precisions are an acquired taste but one that I've acquired, pickguard has to be off though
