  2. And a spammer isn't going to give you any useful info either, especially one I just kicked out. For reference, anyone who resurects a year+ old topic, quotes a post and says 'thanks for the info', just expand the quote, you will find that they have put a load of links at the bottom that you dont' see as it is all collapsed.
  3. Whomever awarded that 2020 player of whatever award must have exactly the taste I have come to expect from such things. It's a horrific tone (he's playing a Chowny so no surprises there), but it's exactly the kind of burpy cod jazz crap that should have been burned after the 80's. Say "Behs" all you want Danny, it's still insipid 70's lift music from The Towering Inferno. To quote the great James Coburn: "Don't think that just because you and Colonel Brandt are more enlightened than most officers that I hate you any less. I hate all officers. All the Stranskys, all the Treibigs, all the Iron Cross scavengers in the whole German army." That's how I feel about Internet personas, influencers, youtubers who do clickbait titled videos and worst of all, those who pretend to care about who they're interviewing but get things so amazingly wrong that it shows they've just not done their research and can't be bothered. We live in an age where being great at self promotion and shouting about it is better than having any form of groundbreaking talent. Sapko and his ilk are just the symptom, not the cause.
  4. One tip is not to have bright lights pointing out at the audience from the stage. It makes you difficult to see. If you're going to have lights for the dance floor, have a good think about their location. If lights are to light up the band, they need to be at the front, as high up as possible, down onto the band. Side fills are ok, but they will put the band into silhouette if there's nothing from the front. You're not a disco, people want to be able to watch you.
  5. Reverb has decent protection for the buyer (I've never had cause to claim on it though) so it seems a bit odd that that this is being requested. Nothing to lose in doing a quick video though, just be wary of follow-up requests.
  6. Yes, it's the self-adhesive LED strip. The controller is the small white box on top of the cab.
  7. Awesome analogy synth I was using for a project that's no more, so not getting used sadly. Perfect for someone looking for heavy bass synth but like me gets all flustered with menu's/programming etc. Great working condition.the wings have been upgraded with custom wooden ones (the original black ones are renowned for going sticky n tacky) Comes complete with box/instructions . Also a padded Cobra case. If collected I'll chuck in a basically new great quality Gorilla stand for it 👍. Ideally I'd prefer collection or meet but happy to post if buyer sorts out his own courier and cost. In a perfect world I'm looking for a trade on a guitar combo, 1x12 or 2x12 Not the best pics, I'll take some more in better light.

  8. Latest album from highly rated US singer-songwriter. Yours for just £8 posted UK. Now £6 Susan James is thrilled to announce the release of her latest album TIME IS NOW on July 12, 2024. Dive into a world of captivating melodies and artful lyrics that will leave you wanting more. The psychedelic chamber-pop opus not only showcases James' talent but also highlights her growth and commitment to musical authenticity. Engineered and produced by Susan, Time Is Now is a testament to her innovative approach and artistic evolution. With a discography that tells a story of experimentation and heartfelt creativity, Susan James continues to capture the hearts of fans and critics alike. Susan provides some insight stating “It all began as a powerful vision a year ago, an idea that blossomed into what I now offer as a soundtrack for healing our seemingly broken world. In these tumultuous and divisive times, we must acknowledge that love, empathy, and inclusivity are not just noble ideals, but are vital components of our collective resilience and progress as a species.. While there are forces that seek to keep us in a state of conflict and mere survival, I believe that by embracing love and all its facets, we unlock boundless potential and possibilities for a beautiful, unified global future." She goes on playfully, "So yes, it’s this tiny concept that inspired the album."
  9. As seen on the London stage with Clapton this week! Deluxe edition - Played once, as new. Do You Get The Blues dates from 2001 - this is its anniversary reissue on CD with sleeve notes from the bluesmeister himself. Cameos by Lou Ann Barton and Double Trouble. Now £8 posted UK

  11. Immaculate Barefaced SuperMini (silver cloth grill) with Barefaced padded cover. Less than a year old. I have two but just don’t need them both. In fact, have only used both together for one gig, hence moving this one on. This is the version without a tweeter. It’s incredibly small and light, sounds absolutely fantastic and goes loud. Tech specs are. Height: 17.5”. Width: 16.5”. Depth: 11”. Weight: 8.5kg (with cloth grill). Max amp power: 600w. Max output: 127db. Impedance: 8ohm. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK (I have the original Barefaced packaging for this purpose). Collection is also possible, I live approximately 15 minutes from junctions 14 and 15 of the M1. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

  12. Yeh, I would do a video, put it on an unlisted youtube link and send the link to the video by reverbs messaging system.
  13. It is presumably a PWA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_web_app), i.e. the website is saved on your phone and adapts to the screen size to make it more app-like. This was the original plan for iPhone app development until the App Store appeared with iOS 2.
  14. A complex balancing act.....
  15. I turned 75 in October and have many friends in my age bracket. I've just visited one of them in hospital. He has diabetes and other complications and is often not quite coherent. Today he struggled to stand up and although we had a good chat he was clearly struggling with his memory. Another friend had a stroke about six weeks ago and is now housebound with double incontinence. A third is also housebound and has had several heart issues. I just learned this morning that another has been diagnosed with bowel and lung cancer. I am very blessed to be in pretty good health - apart from taking a daily blood pressure pill! I'm fairly active, ride my bike, play the bass in church and generally enjoy life. Earlier this year my wife had two operations in 10 days but is fine now. We sold a house that we rented out and are using some of the proceeds to holiday in Switzerland come January. Rachael Thieves seems hell bent on stealing all our savings so we're going to spend it! Don't put things off and get the most out of life by putting something into it!
  16. I like that. Is that behind the speaker grill?

  20. It could be a genuine request, and the buyer would be happy with a link to an unlisted YouTube video if it were. As @tauzero says it could be that they want your phone number.
  21. Fantastic US-published collection of interviews with top songwriters in all genres. There’s Brian Wilson, James Taylor and Paul Simon but also Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith, Alice Cooper, Squeeze and Donald Fagen Plus many more… Book (a mammoth 658 pages) is in unread condition. £18 delivered UK - the ideal Xmas present. NOW £16 delivered! for!
  22. A lot of the acoustic players I've gigged with use AER amps. https://www.aer-music.de/
  23. It does mean I'll need to avoid doing a bass on the settee photo, as I wouldn't like to see a macassar-antimacassar reaction.
  24. I would suggest just using an instrument lead between guitar and mixer and then working out whether there's anything more that you need. Can't get much cheaper than that.
