  2. Expect it to be £1200 over here, as Grabbers were £999 at first.
  3. Hi, just a quick one... I am currently selling a QSC K12.2 active speaker that I use as an FRFR speaker - some people list them in Amps and Cabs for sale, others list them in Accessories and Other Musical stuff for sale. I have listed mine in amps and cabs. Can i list it in both? I just wondered that was all as it kinda fits either... Although I'm sure the same parties peruse both sections, I was just curious as to whether it was against forums rules? Thanks!
  4. Hi @Quatschmacher Do you believe that somehow the on/off switch could be replaced (or reprogrammed as) a program down switch ? That way having up / down on the pedal itself, and either moving the on/off elsewhere on the enclosure or using an external looper for activating / déactivating the effect... Just a thought
  5. Love to Doetinchem. Played Paddy's Bar and Wims record shop a few times.
  6. I had a Status 3000 back in the early 90s. Great bass. I completely understand. The Stingray is nowhere near as important to me as that Status is for you.
  7. I mean, why would you ever get rid of it as long as you enjoy it so much? Great.
  8. Lady Ez and me don’t do Christmas presents any more so the first 2 questions are moot. So then we’re into the money no object question. A decent double bass is always going to be in there and I’ve recently developed ’Ray type GAS. However, given my weight requirements it would have to be chambered, which means a custom build and if that’s the requirement, it would also be medium scale and probably passive. That said, Sadowsky do a MM pickup only that comes in at my weight requirements, so that would be an option too.

  10. That SS ‘Ray looks so good.
  11. Fortunately these design faux pas are in the minority.
  12. Thanks for that, including the very helpful comment regarding tracking capability = "good enough but not as per IMA's hype" if I've read you correctly? Although tbf I guess completely understandable from IMA, given this is his baby. An honest review of the new MXR bass synth effects pedal MB301... | TalkBass.com Just came across this thread on TB - made for interesting reading!

  14. Having a bit of a bow clear out. 1st up... Lovely Dorfler bass bow from Bubenreuth in Germany. French pattern, pernambuco, nickel mounted, 690mm stick, 131g weight. Couple of small marks here & there. New hair. Based in Catford SE London to try out or can post. £400
  15. Bought from Juan Alderete’s big Reverb Store sale. Shipped it to the UK, paid the duties, had the Thru jack fixed/sleeve/nut added, had the power switched to 240v. Sounds great, adds a subtle richness to the tone. Would pair beautifully with my Camden EC1 for the ultimate clean studio tone. I’m having a big clearout, won’t be heart broken if no one shows any interest.

  16. MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, early model I believe, so has a bit of noise when used. Can be heard in this video, I might be overly cautious mentioning the noise. If you can’t hear it, great, grab a bargain.
  17. Yeah that’s the video that convinced me to buy it.

  19. We had a small conversation at the beginning of my lessons a few months ago - but haven't revisited since. No long-term plan or similar has been established. It's all very ad-hoc and I think I'd appreciate a bit more structure. I also sometimes ask for specific tips or insights and don't get the most actionable responses. Largely just "give it time" or words to that effect🤷‍♂️

  22. Gone up on eBay, but still available - Price drop to £80 posted.
  23. 1. DJ Mixer or sound desk: I need a phono preamp for vinyl at home, I also need a way of having my synth and bass and iPad and mix going through a mixer with an effects loop (home studio and potentially live use). A decent 4 channel DJ mixer with Phono inputs could do this (e.g. Allen & Heath Xone 43, £550), or perhaps a mixing desk (e.g. Yamaha MG 12 XU, £350) but that Yamaha would need a seperate phono preamp. 2. 4 string passive Jazz Bass. My main Bass is a 5 string active but it'd be nice to have something a bit different as backup. ....I dunno, but I think that is it (which is just as well as that short list is gonna be a stretch for Santa's budget!). I usually have a massive shopping list but I'm happy with my current Bass setup (Ibanez EHB 1005MS is decent enough and is lightweight for rehearsals and gigs, Ashdown RM 500 does the job, Markbass 102 is lightweight and good sound, Boss GX-10 covers most effects I need).
