I had an early Fender Custom Shop John English 51 P bass , beautiful to look at , but my thumb kept slipping off the single coil pick up . If money was no object , a 57 / 58 P Bass would be my choice . -

I've seen a similar finish problem repaired. The lifting paint had glue put under it and a vacuum table was used to press the paint back into place. -

That collection is absolutely perfect. Except for perhaps a flatwound Precision, I wouldn't add or get rid of a single bass there. Lovely.

Despite years of piano lessons and messing about on synths, I still don't want to play basslines on them - for some reason it just doesn't scratch the itch in the same way as playing them on bass guitar. Can never shake the feeling I'm pressing sprung switches, I don't feel the same connection. The FI VIP gives me that playing satisfaction, it's just more fun.

The SC Precisions are an acquired taste but one that I've acquired, pickguard has to be off though

Popped into Lidl on the way home from work and they had two left. I've been after these for ages, so I bought both of them! -

I got it from gear4music. Didn’t expect much on the weight because my previous bb435 was a bit hefty. But when I got it today, when I lifted the box, it felt empty. When I held the bass, it was surprisingly light! might have to have the frets rounded. A bit edgy for my taste, I’ve gotten used to my Dingwall SP.
