  2. Big bass or small person? 😅 If it is as big as the pictures show, I'm sure that will sound massive!
  3. Here's a short video of one of the t-bars in my new lighting setup when I was first testing the lights in my garage. Those four lights cost approx £150 in total (excluding t- bar, power and DMX cables). One par is permanently set to white light to illuminate the guitarist while the other provides a stage wash. The two moving heads provide visual interest. The pars can be set up like that using their internal features however DMX control is needed to make the moving heads move slowly in and keep them pointed at the band. IMG_2308.mov
  4. There is honestly no right answer to this question. There is no right order. There is only the order that sounds best to you/gets you the tone you want. While there is a common go to as a starting point, it is normal to break out of that order to find specific sound combinations, because pedal A and pedal B will sound different together depending on which comes first. If you only use 1 pedal at a time then the order matters not. That go to order to start is: Pitch - Dirt - Filters - Modulation - Delay - Reverb Compression either first or last depending on its purpose in your chain. EQ’s place is entirely dependant on what you are shaping with it - are you adjusting the clean signal before it hits the drive? It goes before the drive. Are you shaping the tone that comes out of the drive? it goes after the drive. Are you using it to tame the sonic mess that happens when all pedals are on at once? Then put it at the end of the chain? So, don’t worry about where it ‘should go’ as there is no place for that. Just experiment with every combination and placement, and settle on what works for you. I hope that helps.

  6. So good that it doesn’t look like one any more and thus becomes aesthetically pleasing

  9. Super rare Iron Ether Super FrantaBit - basically two FranaBits in one box, with foot switches to flip flop between them both, as well as switch between Degrade and Obliterate mode. One of the most versatile and sought after Bit Crushers ever made. Grab this now, without the painfully long wait, shipping, and a massive VAT bill when it arrives in the UK! Now £385, inc postage in the UK. Selling this to buy a Hologram Microcosm (had one, massive regrets over selling it), but will consider the following trades/part-exs: Hologram Microcosm, Red Panda Tensor, Triungolo Barbanera. Iron Ether Polytope, Iron Ether Xerograph, Providence Anadime Bass Chorus, Ibanez Ashula SRAS7 (Dragon Eye Burl finish).

  10. Fair enough to get a 70s MIJ Precision for £69 (total bargain) but I can tell you in no uncertain terms it's nothing to do with Ibanez. That style of logo was never used on 70s copy-era guitars, and the neck plate style with the MIJ stamp on the upper half of the plate was never used by Fujigen Gakki, the factory which made 70s Ibanez. That neckplate style could point to Chushin Gakki, or possibly the Matsumoto City manufacturer's co-op Matsumoto Gakki Seizou Kumiai. That bridge is not what I'd expect to see on an MIJ P copy, so it's possible it's not the original, or might even hint that the bass is a bitsa. Some clear, detailed pics of hardware might help clarify things, but back then there were a lot of different factories making pretty similar/generic Fender copies, which were frequently sold unbranded, so it's unlikely we'd be able to pin down exactly what it is. Always cool/interesting to see though!
  11. Just get a set of cream covers on those SDs (to match the fretboard) & that'll be sorted. 👍
  12. https://www.facebook.com/reel/834906742617867 I've never tried this before and the pictures and sound are compressed to hell on FB but this is something the singer put up. You should just about see the lights illuminating the band tucked in behind the speakers and the two flashing facing the audience. You can also make out the Par Bar behind the guitarist, there was nowhere else to put it given the space. The phone has also corrected the colour which was primary red for the static lights These lights come with an optional diffuser which was fitted which is why you can't see the bulbs

  14. Nice cabs ,pity I’m all cabed out.
  15. 😆 We're going to be doing a bit of that ahead of our New Year's Eve gig.
  16. The Achievers last Saturday. Anyone who enjoys great songwriting with excellent musicianship delivered with a touch of humour between songs will enjoy this band. At Temperance in Leamington Spa. A tiny basement venue with a capacity not much above thirty.
  17. Just had a decent Bendricks Rock rehearsal. No new stuff tonight, just turd polishing ahead of Saturday. Got a nice tone from the Squier40th Anniversary P. and added a few extra flourishes.
  18. I can’t seem to find it on AppStore @EllaReidh
  19. I never knew there was a basschat app
  20. Thanks for information!
  21. 👍
  22. But it would need to be very small.
  23. From Big Country tonight in Alexander’s chester superb , I realise that it is almost a tribute , but Mark Brzezecki was incredible , I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard drumming like it . the rest of the guys were so on it , it was fantastic. i bought an extra ticket for our kid for his birthday last week , we first saw Big Country at the Liverpool Empire 40 years ago 😁
  24. This was a Covid project for me and it began life as a very neglected Columbus jazz bass. i stripped off the finish, refinished it in Lake placid blue, added MIM fender pickups and tuners. The bridge is from a friends spares box and I’ve no idea where the control plate came from. Rather than the usual fake fender decal, I went with a tokai one. Bad bits - the finish on the rear of the body is pretty patchy. The front is ok but there are some ‘roadworn’ areas. It was my first attempt at a refinish but it looks great from the front. Good bits - it’s really playable. The neck is really slim and fast. Reminds me of my MIJ Geddy. Asking £175 for it. Collection preferred but we can sort something out if that’s not practical. I’ve attached some before and after pics

Loving the Aguilar Octamizer model in the last update. Not identical to the original, but close enough for me!
  26. I now have the guitar version which is actually three separate mutes, all of which work well on bass. I'm using the smallest one on my new (to me) starcaster bass and it takes the edge off the sustain nicely. I'll give them a go on the bass vi after I've put the LaBella flats on it.
  27. I could dig a sub forum for this stuff.
