  2. As I'm in Belgium, I found that my quite usual records supplier is selling their CD: https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/tulpa-monster-of-the-week/hnum/12534814 Will get it from them.
  3. On the ones I've made (BC 112, BC 6" micro, my own Plenty), I've rounded the outer edge with about 12mm radius and left the inner edge as is. The micro cab (leatherette covered) has a cheapo round speaker-sized grille, the BC 112 (Tuffcabbed) and Plenty (leatherette) have metal grilles, and I've got a piece of aluminium grille for the 8" cab. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362491694497?var=631653707862
  4. Just to confirm, collection could be tricky, but not impossible; if we can arrange something, I could certainly knock off £20 if it saves me the postage cost. I’m not interested in trades currently, but will consider sensible offers 😊
  5. Damn confusing metric units. Far simpler to use imperial: 0.00055426 furlongs.
  6. 2026 is my only hope.... For now, I am so far Out that I am coming back In the other way round....
  7. Cosmetically this is as new and works perfectly. 6 months old. Never been on a pedal board. Probably one of the best Chorus pedals on the market. I will ship in the UK for £5 so all in £70. Manufacturer’s description: The Ampeg Liquifier Analog Chorus pedal delivers incredibly rich tones thanks to its dual choruscircuit design. Experience classic dreamy chorus or turn it all the way up to transport your toneto a new dimension. Get the lush sounds you’ve been dreaming of with the Liquifier Analog Chorus. Dual chorus effect with simple effective controls allowing for deep swirling effects or the subtle lift that chorus can add to a bass part. Dual chorus circuit design delivers incredibly rich chorus tones for both bass and guitar Dial in the perfect sound with Rate, Depth and Effect Level controls True bypass, analog design with incredible signal-to-noise ratio Roadworthy all-metal chassis construction Powered by a 9V battery or 9V DC supply (not included)
  8. Maximum use of space. Though now I look at a picture I see wonkiness, and I need a right angled Jack adapter to access the non xlr output of the microbass. Gigrig on the underside for power. Tuner is always on so that the guitarist can see what note I’m playing :).
  9. To be fair Counsellor reckons all bass players are hopeless cases. No idea why she thinks that
  10. Great amp, great price. GLWTS, but I don’t think you’ll need it!
  11. I don't think the neck is roasted, it looks like an antique tinted varnish. Very nice though 🙂
  12. In the end that is why I didn't go for the keys, because I wanted the MPC stuff, but I have a lot of keyboards I can connect it to
  13. If you'd seen my efforts at soldering, you wouldn't be asking me for advice 😉 Removing the wires should be a case of pulling gently on them while applying the iron to the solder pad - as soon as the solder melts, they should come free. If they're not loose after a couple of seconds, remove the iron to avoid overheating, and re-think. You may need more power or a larger tip. Remove one wire at a time if possible - you'll want to cut the cable tie bundling the P wires to the MM wires, and it may be easier if you can separate the black and white wires a few inches along their length. https://mightyohm.com/blog/2011/04/soldering-is-easy-comic-book/ https://www.premierguitar.com/diy/guitar-bass-mods/guitar-soldering?page=1 Personally I'd go for the terminal block, as it's hard to get wrong - but best of luck either way!

  15. Very reasonably priced for such a fantastically simple and effective compressor
  16. Although I love the MPC Key 37 I am going to put it up for sale as it doesn't quite fit with the things I need (home piano, stage piano, large midi keyboard for production). I am hoping I'm able to keep all of the licensed software though as I think there are some great sounds, I'm pretty sure that's fine as it is linked to my inMusic account rather than hardware and I already also have it all on the Laptop and you get 3x licenses. My plan is to get some sort of 73 key stage piano (f or live stuff. I've tried the Laptop + midi keyboard for live stuff before and it was a liability so I'm not going to do that again) and an 88 weighted key home piano (with speakers, simple, tough - to stay in the front room for the kids to learn on). And for home production the stage piano should work fine as a midi interface to still play the MPC plugin instruments via a Laptop. I've found that I actually usually have the Laptop hooked up to the MPC for production stuff as I prefer to do a lot of things like sample edits and Library management and sequencing via Laptop. I will definitely miss some of the MPC interface but it'll pay for the home piano and partly towards the stage piano.

  20. Peterson StroboStomp Mini £90 posted https://www.petersontuners.com/products/stroboStompMini/ Accurate, compact tuner with high-def LCD strobe display and top-mount jack sockets. N.B. In the photos, in the top-left corner of the screen: that's the protective film that I never removed starting to come off, not a scratch/mark etc. My feedback thread: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/159971-feedback-for-jrixn1/
  21. I still use mine, 20 years old. Find it really useful with upright live sound reinforcement. jonny
  22. I have a couple of old Wem Westminster amps and love them for bass. I saw Richard Hawley on the Coles Corner tour last night and he was using both a Dominator and an earlier Watkins Westminster (with onboard tremolo) on stage. Sounded great. These amps are very capable and last for ever!
