  2. My preamp appeared to stop working ahead of Friday nights gig but my trusty old basswitch has came to the rescue. I must have this pedal for 11yrs or more. Quick rewire this morning and the board sounds great for both IEM/FOH testing with headphones and into the amp. Added a Genzler 4OTF Classic bass for an always on sound to warm up the clean preamp which hits my two LBA 2020s transformers hidden underneath before the input stage on the Basswitch. The Dual Band comp is in the always on serial loop of the Basswitch before DI’ing this combined drive and comp sound out to the Cab M+. Sound great! The line out hits the remaining pedals before running into a Thumpinator hidden underneath the other side of the board before going to the amp. Pork and Pickle is more recent anddition and gain staging with the 4OTF just to the amp does exactly what I enjoy and wanted them to do. Adding a nice oomph on stage for me and the drummer but the FOH/IEM remains ‘clean’ and punchy. I’ve gotten compliments by sound techs before running this combination as it doesn’t mess with the FOH sound they’re trying to get right and they can give me a sign if I need to turn down the amp to get the balance right out front.
  3. I thought 'accident waiting to happen...'
  4. Hi thanks for the message, just a straight sale in this. Thanks
  5. I bet! I would love to need that much umph behind me but most of the gigs I play, one LFSys Monza is all I need (11Kg). Occasionally I use the second Monza, when I want a bit more. My back loves me now 😀 and both kidneys are intact.
  6. £10 off now, so £170 posted or £165 collected from SW13
  7. I quite like the rustic look of it and its history.
  8. 😄 Yes - can bust a few Kidneys with that, doesn't get out much these days. Back to 1 x 12 next week.
  9. I’m getting a little tired of the higher tension of Elixir SS, even the lighter sets. I do like how smooth they feel though. Does anyone know if the Dragon Skin steels feel very grippy? I might try the quantum nickels if so…or maybe I’ll get round to the Rotosound Nexus sets I keep thinking about…
  10. Can we go back to the first statement in the thread. Please justify four basses to yourself otherwise many of us are in deep trouble…..
  11. Are there any trades you’re interested in?
  12. I don't think I posted this one yesterday even though I finished it - what a plonker. Dave's request for the Kenny Gradney bass part to 'Let It Roll' from Little Feat's 1988 album of the same name. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/let-it-roll-little-feat/
  13. Here’s my TC Electronic RH450 in used condition. Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging. Collect from Chesterfield (5 mins from M1 J29) or I can post for an additional £15. Cheers! Sam

  14. That’s a great looking setup.
  15. Ridiculous!! Probably the best bass for sale here and virtually no interest!!! A bump is the least I can do...
  16. This amp is now £400 on Amazon. Incredible. I will drop the price for the amp, adapter, pedalboard and case to £500, which is still a good deal I think, but I really cannot go any lower. If it doesn't sell at this price I will just keep it as a spare.
  17. I picked this up from @Basilpea not that long ago. It's a great cab, but it isn't a cosmetic match to my other AT210, so being the fickle person I am I want to replace this... It's got some small dents from being gigged, but overall in good condition and absurdly light. You can pick it up with two fingers! It's also very loud. W52 x D33,5 x H57 cm 600 watts at 4 ohms 103dB SPL Also comes with GR Bass soft padded cover. GR say: The lightest 2×10 bass cabinet in the world. Thanks to its size, lightness, and power, the AT 210 is one of the most versatile cabinets in the entire catalog. Suitable for both small and large live shows, it allows you to always have your sound with you. With the AeroTech line, you can have the incredible innovation of our Carbon Fibre cabinets combined with the Pure Sound of GR, which is the pure sound of your instrument. Incredible sound, lightweight, power, impact resistance, and a beautiful modern design. I'm afraid this is collection only, as I don't have anything suitable to ship it in. No trades either thanks. I'm using @Basilpea's pictures, which I hope he's okay with.

  18. It's sometimes a hit or miss playing an amplified ABG indoors. I've done gigs with no problem and three weeks later in the same venue, it's like a banshee has moved in. Sometimes, the banshee appears in the middle of a song and never returns? I play an Ovation Elite V and always use multiple plugs - the bass has about a million sound-holes of differing sizes and to be honest, I'm not too sure they make all that much difference in the end. Anyhow, best of luck in your quest.

  20. We have a member called Balls? Oh, I see. 👀
  21. I’ve owned both amps and both played through the SVT212AV cab CTM100 was nice but took took a bit of fiddling getting the EQ right The Ampeg V4B was better, fitted the cab better, sounded more valve like and easy EQ to get a good sound In my last rock band ( loud ) it was running around 1/2 volume so had more to give but after it warmed up and was pushing a decent volume the sound was the best. CTM 100 nice but V4B awesome and clearly a better amp I feel
