  2. Up for sale is my NS Design CR5, in Amber. Bought from The Bass Centre just last year, and in near-new condition, apart from a small dink on the upper edge of the body shown in the photos. Light for a fiver at 4.2kg, and sits beautifully on the knee or a strap. Incredibly versatile magnetic / piezo pickup system with 2-band preamp. Specs are here: https://thinkns.com/instrument/the-ns-design-radius-bass-guitar/ns-design-radius-bass-guitar-cr/ Comes complete with gigbag. An amazing sounding and innovative design of bass, but I find myself reverting to my old Laklands, which just feel like home, so it's time to move it on. Collection preferred from near Woking in Surrey, but I can post within the UK at the buyer's cost and risk. Sorry, no trade offers please.
  3. If it not being active is the only deal breaker - have you considered installing a preamp ?
  4. Selling this drum kit on behalf of my brother who can’t play anymore due to ill health The kit can be broken up so if you spot something that catches you eye let me know and we can work out a decent price for you
  5. ^^^ this It’s a beautiful instrument and will bring immense joy to who ever owns it next. tbh, I’m not sure why it’s not had more interest, sunburst bodies aren’t to everyone’s liking I guess, nor are maple finger boards. I’d like it to have gone to someone in the BC community , but I guess I’ll have to speak to Bass Bro’s about a commissioned sale or summat.
  6. I was not too sure what to ask for it so was hoping that someone will make an offer on a particular piece...
  7. Really on the fence about this bass. Out of interest, are active pickups with a passive EQ a commen thing? Not too keen on neck binding.
  8. Assuming the whole drumkit isn't £1? Might be worth adding a price that reflects what you're looking for before a mod comes along to tell you the same!
  9. Exactly this. They're cut 2 x 2, and I'll be swapping them out tomorrow. Happy to compare the lengths on my Jazz or P once off. I am fairly generous with the amount of string I leave on.
  10. I think I posted the very same clip a while back with the very same reaction. It really is very good.
  11. Hi. I can’t recommend Steve more highly as a seller after buying his Schecter Hellraiser Extreme recently. We had problems with DPD not updating the whereabouts of the bass for 2 1/2 days but Steve did all he could to chase them and keep me informed and was always on the case. Great communications throughout and when the bass came it was perfectly protected in a hard case and double boxed , OH and bubble wrapped within the hardcase! Basically Steve couldnt have been more helpful and reassuring with a bit of banter for good measure. Description and specs very thorough and loads of good photos. All queries answered pronto too. A top guy and an accomplished player , he knows his stuff and looked after his well gigged bass , excellent condition. Thanks again Steve. I really appreciate all your help and care. Quent
  12. Looks great, any specs please? Knob functions neck measurements string spacing at bridge etc...
  13. Bought the Quad Cortex from Lee, outstanding from start to finish. Thanks again buddy!
  14. Great tone and use of a pick with a PBass 🎸🤟
  15. Great post
  16. I watched a clip of FGTH doing a rehearsal of this and agree his playing very good, much more complex & interesting line than I’d thought.
  17. Chunk Systems Brown Dog up for grabs, not getting the love it deserves from me. The Brown Dog enables you to produce rampaging waves of meat with your bass guitar while still keeping your basslines tight and letting the character of your instrument's tone shine through. With two fuzz modes (hard and soft), a mixing stage and a unique gating circuit the Brown Dog gives you a wide range of fuzzy and synthy bass tones Price includes UK Postage
  18. I use an Ashdown Little Bastard with the 2x12" Ashdown cab they make for it. It works great for me, a particularly nice feature is not needing a crane to move it...😆 The band I use it with has an acoustic drumkit and two guitarists who insist on not using any backline (hip, I know but I just can't warm to it, probably my age), plus a singer who uses ears. Onstage volume is never too brutal. Everything is put into the PA and both guitarists and I use wedges. The drumer also has an IEM setup. I get a nice breakup off the amp with plenty of bottom end. All in all, I'm a fan.😃
  19. Probably a 5 string double bass, Maruszczyk Jake PJ 5 and my own creation, a RickenExplorerBird 5. Ashdown ABM500 and Eden XLT410

  21. For sale is a Tune TWB-5 bass, in Koa. I bought this as a bit of an an experiment, as they have a reputation for being great basses, and they are! Excellent build quality, with great pickups and preamp, easy to play, and amazing tonal versatility. It's in good order, apart from some buckle marks on the back, and weighs 4.5kg, but sits comfortably on a strap. According to the previous owner, this is is an earlier Japanese-made version, before the name was bought out by a Korean firm. It's a lovely bass, and has a bit of the look of an Alembic or a Pangborn Warlord about it, which is one of the things that drew me to it in the first place, but I find myself reverting to my old Lakland 55-94, which just feels like home, so it's time to move it on. Collection preferred from near Woking in Surrey, but I can post within the UK at the buyer's cost and risk. Sorry, no trade offers please.
  22. yes, this is what I've read do we know about reliability?
  23. A double blind p-bass shootout would be interesting. Various p's at price points from the cheapest Squier to a USA custom shop. Er, anyone bringing a USA custom shop precision? ☺️
  24. Jools Holland on Later tries to turn every song into a "featuring me doing meaningless widdles". Some might say this is overdone, but I like it!
