  2. I like the way you've concealed the control cavity. Blends in nicely.
  3. The reissue Ampeg V4B models run a quartet of 6L6GC rather than the lesser spotted 7027.. Ashdown went the other way and did it with a pair of '88s..
  4. Bartolini 6RC Pickup. This is a direct drop-in for your Rickenbacker bridge pickup. Only selling as I am using an alternative in my 4003. Just a bit of shine on the top of the pup where the string rubs a little. Bass Direct have these new at £118 < only asking £75, UK postage included. PM for any more info, thanks for looking! SB 😀

  6. Balls. That’s mega tempting
  7. It’s a real plant that no longer resides on the amp as a bit of water spilled once and messed up the laminate on the back panel.
  8. We have a (very reslistic tbf) fake plant in the foyer of my work, one of the women in the office keeps watering it. It's gone on so long now I haven't got the heart to tell her.

  11. hey bud. Cheers for responding and the advise. have been playing it all day. I found ways to hear that warmth in either blue contour or amber. With amber I had contour at around 2 o’clock, bass boosted a tad and treble rolled off at 11 o’clock. blue (which I really like in my place) contour around 10’clock, boost the mids a tad with sweep at 2 o’clock and reduce the treble a tad. my tone knob on bass is nearly closed. more to learn. My ocd would like to know where 250,500 and 800hz is in the mids sweepable frequency lol. def let me know when you are next playing and I’ll come support.
  12. Or perhaps someone could bring along their Dreek speaker cables so that I can A/B them with the ones I get from Thomann? https://www.amazon.co.uk/DREEK-Oxygen-free-Copper-Speaker-Banana/dp/B0DCW6B6KJ/ref=sr_1_10?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TwpBafzm7iPvROCU55cQ5egNaLoIuYadiThjNyepE_LvPYbSHr2aCST_XuC1Z5x03BeEfS1s_52YVEIC76CT963L9iVCYuIln2gaK7o2l8RpMs3otJ-oIU5_fspGJ_ljvO57vHy28yLjDSm4UZRekI9qZEEleFQekYUMBY2E6q8D05Yee18qPtDR9azNZE9oUVB334lu-Ki-OZR4tXMmbQ2syqc4OyvjFhrHNS0fmpQ.dWseN6_pVgNIpfU8bTEiX62sMShHAjzEHQTHZHKkgy4&dib_tag=se&keywords=oxygen%2Bfree%2Bcopper%2Bspeaker%2Bcable&qid=1752962206&refinements=p_36%3A66000-&rnid=118657031&sr=8-10&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.d7e5a2de-8759-4da3-993c-d11b6e3d217f&th=1
  13. It's EASY! I have one ready to ship right now (the very one from the demo video), you tell me your address, pay me, and I'll send it to you! 😁 I have tested it for days and days, works perfectly!

  15. I use a Magellan 350 with a 10-2 cab or two Genz Benz 12’s depending on where I’m playing. Warmth is very dependent on context, for boomy stages with the bigger cabs there is often too much of that warmth and I have to dial the lows back and use a high pass filter. The 10-2 cab tends to sound great in any context, the older cabs need a little more attention. Either way I have the mids on the blue setting most of the time at around 11 o’clock, treble is rolled off a tiny bit, and the rest depends on the acoustics in the venue. For context I mostly play jazz either on a P, a PJ or short scales.
  16. I have a high end bass collection 4 string fretless, it spends most of its time in a case, I used to play fretless 70% of the time but in the last 10 years or so it has been 100% fretted work, I do miss playing it and really ought to dig it out and give it some love again
  17. As new, used a handful of times , have attached Velcro to the underside. Comes with all the original packaging & price includes recorded postage. £450 posted

  18. Please mark as 'sold' in the advert's title 😁👍
  19. Is that an artificial plant or does it get watered elsewhere 🤔 😁
  20. My speaker cabinets of choice are Acme B2 three way 2x10. They are a bit inefficient so require a lot of power for them to sing at their best. I se a 2KW capable Class D power amp but, loving tubes, I designed and built a two channel full tube pre-amp to drive it. Together they sound wonderful! If I could procure a stereo tube power amp with 400W per channel I'd use it in a heartbeat - IF I could lift it! LOL
  21. What varies is the electronics of these early models. This one has the original Japanese electronics. Is it of worse quality? Hehe, I think the Japanese electronics are just as good as the others. Even much better.
  22. You get good points for scale but lose out on the rest….
