    September ‘23 for me. I bought a classical guitar in early ‘24, but that’s it. It’s not like I don’t have GAS at all, far from it, but my will power is much improved. Well, that and being in the middle of nowhere, with no bass outlets less that a 90 minute drive, each way. There’s a Maruszczyk fretless P type at @Bass Direct that has caught my eye ( https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/maruszczyk-jake-4p-fretless-red-trans-gloss/ ), but that’s a 5 hours drive (I have trade ins I’d need to do) and I’m also tempted by one of those SBMM Ray2s. Still 3 weeks to go to fall off of the wagon .

    If you’re only going to do it once then a cheap set is fine, depends how many nut replacements you plan on doing in the future…

    Just a post in praise of the TI JR. Obv, not to your taste, and that is cool. But if anyone out there likes a nice, compliant string that is a bit (tiny bit) rubbery/bendy, then this is the set you are seeking.

    Looking forward to these being available in Europe & UK. I loved the HA3500 powerful with great tone shaping and a handy compressor. The weight was the only factor that stopped me buying one. Always loved graphic EQs since my first Acoustic rig in late 70s and numerous Trace Elliots since, but these days I only use lightweight gear. I have been using the Hartke LX8500 for a few years now, it's a really great amp. Love the retro look (slighty Acoustic Control Corp vibe) of the TX7500, which will probably be my next amp purchase.

    Now £330.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included.     Don't know about Bass gear, but the best purchase by far I've made this year is this little tyke. It was actually a pic our 5 month old Cocker Poo but it's an HEIC file so it wont work for some reason, unless someone knows an easy fix.
