  3. That looks great. How did you achieve the print?
  4. Recently acquired and cleaned and sorted by myself. Its a phenomenonal amp. So much power, but also so much tone shaping with the 3 presets, eq band eq, and eq tilt dial. Dual compressor which is very good. Mixable valve and solid state preamp. Fx in and out, with adjustable volume dial. Xlr out. Really is top notch, everything works perfectly. Also comes with original receipt and manual. Only selling as my van has been written of and my car is a 2 seater so I can't transport it, so I need to swap it or buy something I can fit in the car. Also comes with dolly trolley. Definitely a classic and collectors item. This is in great condition. If it doesn't sell, I'll just take the head out, rack it, and get 2 smaller cabs. Need the funds to buy a smaller modular rig, so not really up for swaps unless it's something like a squier 40th bass, sire bass etc. Collection Leyland Lancashire
  5. Right. Got my numbers for tonight’s lottery, and picked out my spec on the mar… maroosh… public peace configurator: £2.5k! Looks damn fine though!
  6. Indeed but tbh the roadworn sunburst isn't getting the use it deserves since I got the gold one!
  7. Sire get good reviews but that bass is 3lbs heavier than I would go for. Unless you are a fit 30 something I'd give it a pass.
  8. Here is my new part bass I finished recently and which make me proud of: Warmoth body, Musikraft neck, nitro paint, Fralin splitcoil. The design, paintwork and the printing I did with the help of my wife. Enjoy it!
  9. Hi , just confirming the cab is ported at the bottom. About 3" in height and runs three quarters of the length of the cab approximately. Cheers
  10. I can vouch for the 4-string version being excellent, and even if I think it sounds nicer with the Sadowsky preamp I've put in it than the stock one, that's not to say the stock one is in any way not good.
  11. Absolutely stunning!
  12. @basexperience looks both delighted and surprised to be surrounded by so many pedals! "These pedals are fantastic - and they are the same ones that I have at home! What are the odds of that?" I chatted a while, and was infected by his enthusiasm and passion for playing. And I was reminded that we play music, rather than work music!
  13. Modern Vintage MVJ4-66 Fretless in Olympic White in fantastic condition up for grabs. The bass has been fitted with some passive EMG's and it produces a really thick sound with excellent sustain. The roasted maple neck is an absolute beauty to look at and a joy to play. The bass has hipshot lollipop tuners, comes with a semi hard case and the chrome neck pickup cover. Collection from Margate or I can box it up if required.
  14. I'm saying "I'm taller than you, even without a cap on...."
  15. Nice bass and not just as an entry point. Affordable no longer needs to mean 'meh'. The bass I'm using the most right now is another Sire (Z3-5), while other basses that cost up to 4x as much stay at home. A Sire V7 is a very nice bass, they can be a bit heavy in my (limited) experience of that model, but they're nice.
  16. Gary is saying "Without a cap on, I get an extra three inches of headroom." Or Chris is saying "Am I meant to be on-stage?"
  17. By way of an update, I took this to a rehearsal the other night, in a large room, at pretty much gig volumes. The amp performed without issue, and sounded bloody great with my '73 P - huge tonal range just from the passive tone control, but I needed to back off the bass a bit because I was runnng through my BF Super Twin. When I kicked in with the Em riff of Steely Dan's 'FM' I got a big smile and a 'yeah' from the guitarist whose band it was! I'm rehearsing with them again next week and I'm going to take my Dingwall NG2 as well and see how that sounds (although I can kind of guess). I was trying to work out what it cost me - I'd say about £500 overall, not counting my time of course!
  18. Don't discount the fan frets, I find they feel really natural to play. It took about half on hour before I learned to just ignore the fact it was fan fret and just play it and it felt fine. I had the Ibanez SRMS805 which is less extreme than the Dingwall. My experience of fan frets was a much brighter and more defined B string. If you don't want that, then don't get fan frets
  19. +1 for the Chorbot app, very useful and supereasy to use.
  20. Yeah, it’s a cracking bass. Alan is a great builder. You’re right about the purgatory finish. 👍
  21. That's a belter of a collection! Especially the two worn ones. On a totally unrelated question - anyone know why they haven't ventured into a 5 string version in the Electra range?
  22. Yup, no blend knob. Embrace the determinism...
  23. Nice looking thing , priced reasonably. Now most things I’ve imported have come from the US , and a bargain is no longer a bargain after you factor in the exchange , duty , shipping , and occasional brokerage fees. I haven’t done any imports from the UK , yet …
  24. Some of you will have seen this on the ACG pages - my RSK 5/35. Picked it up from Alan in September after a 7/8 months build time from the deposit going down. I enjoyed the whole process of spec'ing my own bass - I specifically asked for the pickups to be pulled back towards the bridge and a little closer together and I'm pleased how that turned out. Still getting used to the wildly capable filter preamp! Definitely an experience I'm looking to repeat 🙂
  25. I have a question about BB1100S controls. Have I got this right? Three on the bottom are active eq control. On the top, starting from the bridge end its three way pickup selector, active/passive switch, passive tone, volume knob. There's no pickup blend. Is that correct?
  26. Today
  27. Nice one! Welcome back 🫡
