  2. Interesting topic at everyone's heart - thanks for posting. Like many I'm a creature of habit, and usually start a gig with some mid scoop on my amp ?? without trying to find out what the room needs. Then spend the first set tweaking. That said even when I have had nice basses with the great flexible pre- Amps. I find myself never altering the Pan from center, I rarely boost bass or treble, but find the bass's Para-mid my go to adjustment, song to song. My main working bass for about 12 years was a Shuker with soap bars and a 5 knob East pre, with a passive tone knob. just used that and the Para-mid. I Just got a Sadowsky NYC with soap bars, the organic tone of the bass is amazing in the Low, low- Mids. Again Pan stays center, It doesn't need any active boost Low or High with Amp set flat. Love it in Passive mode. Just getting used to having no Para - mid. I did get into a conversation with John E. about having a pre -amp with just a Vol, pan, + 2 Para mids. I think it would be really useful tool on any bass.
  3. I will mate definately
  4. Great looking bass
  5. Unfortunately, I no longer have it. It was resold on here, after I sold it when I stopped giging I loved it gigged it everywhere, dives, pubs, clubs, weddings, festivals (2 x Huge Scout Jamborees really) Fed it into a Trace AH350SMX, Trace 2x10, and Trace baby 15 it sounded brilliant. It was the quilted one. I much prefer your's though
  6. Hey guys My pbass is up for grabs Fender Fotoflame Precision Bass, made in Japan with Nordstrand pickup, fender flats. Ultra low action with no buzz/dead spot. £900 with a battered gig bag £990 with a fender moulded hard case Thanks for reading Nick
  7. I bought this bass on Ebay recently and am totally blown away. I've owned loads of basses, USA Precisions, Road Worn series, Fender Japan but this trumps them all in my opinion. To me it feels like the perfect bass. I may be being hysterical but I literally can't put it down and have had it for a month now. Wow!!
  8. Up In Northumberland, I have the SVT212AV cab too, sounds great. If you're this far north give me a shout buddy
  9. A very cool version of his big 80's hit. Wonderful groove, good band, great vocals all round, and some nice Bass playing from Nashville Bassist, Jacob Lowery: An interview with Jacob:

    Hohner B2a

I fear this thing could be jiggered, but I’m not giving up yet.

And the preamp wiring… the red wire that was loose (next to the white) looks like it should go to there, so I attached it… does that look right?

    Hohner B2a

A couple of questions…. Because I’m not having much joy here. Is this stereo jack wired correctly?
  17. Hi Foya, The ACG for the Olinto maybe ? I think they’re worth about the same. The ACG Über Recurve is a véry good 6string fretless. Bit “Wal-ish” though also different in many ways ( Having owned about 6 Wal’s years ago) Easy playability for a 6er, maybe because of the neck profile (asymetric). When you’re interested maybe we could work something out. I live in the Netherlands. If you’re interested I can give a lot of info and pics of course 🙂 Best, Nels Busch
  18. Lots to like for not much money. GLWTS
  19. If it didn't have the Parametric EQ, I'd have ripped your arm off! 😲 Best of luck with the sale. Fantastic bass!
  20. Oh my, Stealthy Status. A lovely example Dave.
  21. Yeah, but dangerous is sexy.
  22. Quite a lot of the EMG pickup sets are active, but without the 2/3 band EQ. Same as the Bass Centre Guy Pratt 'Betsy' signature - there's just an extra rout for a 9v battery under the scratch plate usually.
  23. The cull continues. Up for sale is a beautiful S23 Rob made for me at the beginning of last year, not long after they started up production again. It's in a custom Satin Black finish, with Tri-max pickups in soapbar cases and 'Paramatrix' 4-band EQ, making it really tonally versatile. With these specs, it cost a shade over £3500, so as I understand Status aren't taking orders at the moment, you can save yourself a grand and a long wait! It's light (4kg) but being headless, it feels even lighter on a strap. It's in immaculate condition, complete with its Status-branded Hiscox case, all the paperwork, and I'm throwing in two new sets of double ball end Hotwires strings as well. If it's such a fabulous instrument, why am I selling it, you may well ask. The main reasons are I have too many basses, and I find myself reverting to my old Laklands, which just feel like home, so it's time to move it on (along with several others that I've also just listed on here). Collection preferred from near Woking in Surrey, but I can post within the UK at the buyer's cost and risk. Sorry, no trade offers please. A short review I put on here when I first received it - Current photos attached below. Shortly after I got it, I also did a comparison video with the S2 I had at the time, if you can cope with the verbal diarrhea and aimless noodling...
  24. How did you get the LED setup done?
